Couldn't they at least promise early playing time? Their line has been horrible for at least 5 years.

Ramsey was the real head-scratcher there. He could have been a contender, instead he'll be a pretender at the SOW.

They did really well at Line Backer...no doubt. But OL has killed them for years now.

They don't need to worry about OL this year, they have an experienced starter coming back at QB.
..oh, wait.

No worries. They'll convert some DLs and TEs over to OL and retain their Turnstyles moniker.

When asked about his current recruiting class today Jimbo offered this up, "With this talented class of incoming freshman we feel strongly we will be able to beat NCSU!"

Hopefully, the new signees introduction to FSU football will be a loss to mighty Wofford in the first game of next season.

3* OG Wilson Bell
4* OG Ira Denson
3* OC Ryan Hoefield
2* OG Richy Klepal (who I think wont play due to a medical condition, but Jimbo honored his scholly)
all of them Trickett specials at sub 290lbs with the exception of Denson, who's downside is his feet/movement

Yup, Klepal quit football due to concussions...

Completely agree. Not sure if we discussed this in another thread, but I simply cannot understand why a defensive back would go there. I mean, I get a receiver or even quarterback wanting to play in the ACC, where he will pad stats against bad defenses and play a little more wide open, but defensive players heading to the ACC makes no sense. Do they not follow college football, the NFL draft, or the pro game?

Agree, bad move for Ramsey but his choice.
I don't believe we see fsu's OL recruiting manifest itself completely for two seasons. A couple classes back they recruited several good OTs and took two quality JUCO OTs last year. It will take some time but it is a ticking time bomb.

Their OL and their lack of OL recruiting towards the end of Bowden's reign was the biggest reason they sucked so bad. They got some better line and had better teams, so I really, really hope they go back to whiffing on OL.

If not for Moore and Garcia transferring in, I'm not sure people would be overwhelmed by our OL class either. 2 of ours are also under 290. Just sayin'.

Yes but I think we bought some time. OL/OT a huge need next class, a minimum of two top OTs needed.

The difference is Trickett wants smaller/agile OL, we have Dillman.
Moore(305), Brown(340), and Johnson(320).

True...but you can't just exclude those two....they are part of the overall equation.
