Is Obama turning America into a communist nation?
With the way things are going I don't think "Obama's America:2016" was far off.

Yeah, we're super close to communism, other than having private property, privatized production, a market-driven economy and a class system.

Keep an eye on that 22nd amendment repeal legislation. Someone will try to bury it in the soon to be 3000 page amnesty bill.

Legislation to repeal the 22nd Amendment has been introduced multiple times since 1991. Even in the extremely unlikely event that repeal legislation passes both Houses of Congress, 3/4 of the states would have to ratify it before the repeal would become effective.

Yeah, we need a slightly sarcastic emoticon. That's not to say though, if these jokers could figure a way around it, they wouldn't give it a shot.

We don't even have that. You're buying private health insurance and being treated by private practicioners. The only things that are even vaguely "socialist" are Medicaid & Medicare, which have been around for decades.

You already were, indirectly. Now there's a more direct tax on irresponsibility.

Sorry but that is a stupid argument because you can't put a number to it.

I don't even know what you mean by that. Unless you're saying that the social costs of not having insurance are more visible and quantifiable to everyone now. But that's a good thing.

You said I'm paying indirectly, so how much is it? Am I no longer going to pay indirectly and should expect a tax decrease as a result of Obamacare? I'm trying to see your logic.

See my revision. That's exactly the point. Now the costs are more visible and quantifiable to people who don't purchase insurance, and they must contribute in the form of a tax.
