Unemployment worse for blacks under Obama.
Not surprising and even though his presidency may actually be worse for many black Americans they overwhelimingly supported him.

While standing in line, an African American man told the people around him how important it was for him to vote and how important is was for Obama to win. He than explain how he is worried about losing his monthly check.....
The point being they dont care about jobs!

Ah well, it's more important that they got a bro a job in the White House.
I'm in LA, right now, and I can tell you that Mexicans are working fools. I'm staying in Santa Monica, on the beach, and early every morning busloads of Mexicans are disgorged on the beach. Presumably many are working as housemaids and laborers.

Mexicans are raised with strong family and work ethic. If you want to eat, you work.

Unfortunately, these family values do not discourage them for voting for more and more tax-subsidized services. But at least they're willing to work.

Normal people are raised with self pride in hard work and accomplishment and need it to be happy at the end of the day.

The Mexican vote was a minor factor as most are not legal, but I get your point.

They can be up to 50% unemployment and they'll still vote for him

If Romney had won, now would be the time that we'd be starting to hear a lot of outcry from African Americans about the relatively poor state of their community compared to other Americans. But 0bama won. So...no outcry. In fact, not a peep.

That's true, but here in California I understand they were at the forefront of passing Prop 30 which had minorities and unionists voting to raise taxes on other people.

Pubs blew off blacks, hispanics, women, the 47%, immigrants families and were shocked to lose????
Plainly moronic.
What's worse, no change in sight. God solves REAL pregnancy by REAL rape!

Post should read
"Unemployment worse for blacks during a recession"
but carry on with the 'correlation without causation'

108,
Even though we are technically not in a recession anymore, what you are in fact saying is obama has not been able to improve the economy significantly enough in his 4 years to turn around the unemployment rate?
Lose lose for us all...

That's the upside... No more "doom-and-gloom" stories in the media; as soon as Obama was elected, everything became honky-dory in America.
At the very least, at least now we know the relationship between Obama and Hillary has not suffered any irreparable damage. Don't know about you, but to me, that put me at ease. Thank you 60-Minutes!

I can see how many black americans and white americans and hispanic americans and asian americans would be tricked the first time around. But Obama for four more years makes me question the intelligence of anyone voting for this $hitbum twice. I've got to believe the "how to manuals" (how to apply for government aid from welfare to food stamps to housing vouchers to cell phones and the promised "free health care") and the threat of someone actually requiring that recipients at least try to help themselves, probably had something to do with it.
Human beings will fight harder to keep from losing something than they will to gain it. In this case the something is FREE CHIT.

there are quite a few factors, one of the biggest being that those lowest on the socio-economic scale are affected worse during recessions
secondly, generational wealth is a great stabilizer to get people/families through during times of economic hardship....as you can guess for obvious reasons, there isn't much of that in the black community yet
