Very informative, but there are a few more who have quietly expressed displeasure with Coley's leaving too. Still trying to get names, but my friend won't say because he doesn't want me to post them publically.

I hear ya brother but Trickett's argument would be that it teaches his players more discipline, less false starts, and remember he 's an ex-marine.
Read what he's accomplished.

What does this tell us about fsu at the moment? I know "fsu sucks" but do they not trust the coaching staff... something more sinister and savory?

I dont think it says that much. FSU has actually done well to hold on to what they have got since they lost 6 coaches. Thet are having trouble holding on to out of state kids because other schools lost out on prospects and now are turning up the heat.

Maybe we should give Demarcus Walker a chance to jump off a sinking ship?

I'm not too sure they will either G8R, but it would not surprise me to see him get an offer from somewhere like UCF or USF, and if he does, he jumps. Of course, that's just speculation on my part.

I feel like I would almost be too disappointed he burned me the first time to make the effort, but I'm not a professional recruiter. Wonder if staff stayed in touch with him since his fsu surprise.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to land someone like Golston, no matter how remote the chance appears. Our coaches aren't just sitting still, and they aren't just recalling and revisiting the same five or six uncommitted prospects everyday.
Expect some good news for us on NSD.
That's my prediction.

Me too. Lol.
I'm an optimist so holding on to what we have is great, I just love that we look solid with this many high profile kids who haven't specifically eliminated us left on the boards.

lol! Thanks.
I try, but I don't have anywhere near the recruiting connections I used to have ten years ago. I also used to have nearly a dozen connections inside FSU back then too, but so many have switched jobs or moved that I only have a couple of scarce ones anymore.

I know a little about Rick Trickett. He coached the OL @ Southern Miss with Curley Hallman. He has also had stops at MSU & AU. His address may change but he is an absolute "Bastard" of a coach. He curses, kicks, hits, spits on and just otherwise brutalizes his players.
He recruited Northwest Florida for Southern Miss and I met and knew him a little bit back then. He spoke at several alumni gatherings back then and his language and conduct was very offensive. It certainly was not suited for mixed company. If I was an OL ( and I played center & tackle in college @ Southern Miss) prospect he would be the absolute last SOB I would want to play for in college.
That's about all I can say about Trickey Rickey Tricket. Obviously it is nothing good. But it is first hand information and it is factual.

I don't know him like you but I'll never forget him mouthing "F--- You" to HIS OWN PLAYER in the Fsu-Clemson game a few years ago. Think it was an OL named Rose? This was shown on national TV.
What kind of parent lets her child play for a guy like this?

I know his players hated him at West Virginia.
