How so? We had arguably one of the best gator defenses of all-time and couldn't even win our division let alone the SEC. I feel we let one slip away not the opposite.
We had a decent ground game...I wonder what the problem was...weird.

Stanford QB was thrown into the fray midway through the season and won the rosebowl. There are plenty of freshmen QBs across the nation who are ballin'

I would like to see Pease come down and coach up the offense between possessions as we seemed to have no one doing that last year. We have to check out of some plays that are bad matches, even if we have to go back to Meerkat offense.
Jeff is better passer on the move, so roll him out more.
Jeff finally threw the ball away to save a big loss in 1 of the last 2 games and you could tell he was proud of himself. Unfortunately it wasn't even close to being beyond line of scrimmage. Rut-roh...Very telling and very disappointing for essentially a JR QB.

Ok. I hear that a lot. What about the QB replaced by Stanford's Hogan? Did he have a different OL?

What kind of BS is this bashing the Qb that helped bring us an 11-2 record? Good grief, take it soemwhere else.

I'm not sure that's actually true. Pease specifically said in a press conference that Jeff is more accurate in the pocket. That probably takes into account the amount of sacks he would take when he would roll out. I think the issue with the roll out is that it cuts the field in half, so there aren't as many options for Jeff to throw it to.

We lost one game in the regular season to a more talented team. Win that game we are in the SEC Championship that tell me we can win it all with Jeff especially since it was his first year starting. Look around the league the Gators should have the best DL and secondary in the league the next two years.

Agreed AZ.
I don't understand where all the Driskel bashing is supposed to get us anyway?
Calling him "essentially a junior" is pure slop also.
The kid had a cup of coffee as a starter in 2010 playing as the backup against some of the best teams in the nation. He then lost half his off season prep reps to Brisett.
He then lead us to an 11-2 year and a hairs breadth away from an SEC championship/national title shot.
Give it a rest haters.

I am not going to discuss the Driskel topic again. See you in the fall and we will find out how things would have changed.

IMHO, they dumbed down a lot of the offense for him and he could still barely manage 140 yds/game. I hope I'm wrong, but JD's problems seem to be between the ears. Are there PED's for the brain?

His freshman year he played in a grand total of 3 games, including coming in after Brantley was injured vs. Bama where Driskel also got hurt. He had a grand total of 34 pass attempts and 16 rush attempts. If that includes sacks, that's 50 plays where he did something other than hand the ball off. That hardly qualifies as a full year.
Late in the year the thin and inconsistent OL was battered and ineffective. Gilly was banged up and so was Mack Brown. Reed too. When everyone had healed up a bit, Driskel was brilliant on the road vs. the nation's #1 defense in a rabid stadium.
Why they were so flat and mentally absent vs. Louisville is a great question, but 2 bad games don't define a season. The full season does. On that score, he led an admittedly iffy offense to at least hold their own enough to win 11 games. Driskel made a number of very memorable plays that were key to several wins, including at FSU and A&M.
I think you are quite wrong. If there are PED's for the brain you have some hope.
Sorry, but you did set yourself up for that. ;-)

Correction. The Gators are 2012 co-champs of the SEC East.

Iffy is 103 out of 120? Seriously? Iffy?
I will gladly split those PED's with you. This is obviously going nowhere. It seems like some will deflect and defend regardless of the evidence(shout, yell, and scream 11-2!!! 11-2!!! 11-2!!! here). It reminds me of the RZ days. You had people making every excuse for him and saying he was a great coach till the day he was fired.
