My question with Ira is why is no other team pursuing him? Any officials scheduled? I havent seen any articles or mention of anyone pushing him to visit. He wants away from FSU but has no options to do so? Somethings missing there.

Attitude IMO. The talent is there but I believe he thinks he's a little bit better right now then he actually is.

Denson isn't happy there because of Corley's departure but as interesting as it is to see Denson rated so highly, you're absolutely correct that he's not a hot commodity either.
I myself think he would be a good back-up on OL for us though.

I'd take him without a second thought on that horrible thought alone, not to mentions he seems to be pretty good.

This one is simple, you take him so fsu doesn't have the extra quality OL, and IF he pans out for us all the better. What happens when we take 6 LB/6WR and some don't "work out", which will happen? Yup, they transfer.

I'd much rather have those guys at Miami than F$U.

Man, it feels good to rock the orange and blue. Knowing that under Muschamp the talent will always flow in, the defense will always be sick, Georgia and South Carolina can battle it out for second place in the east. There's a new source of arrogance that comes with Muschamp roaming around on the sideline. I mean, my conversations out in public don't even feel the same anymore...

It's the extra bad weight, shows done lack of control/sloppiness and a lack of lateral movement.

If I had a penny for every rumour started during this recruiting period, I'd be able to buy Donald Trump out.

What would Saban do? Of course he would take him and then make everyone compete for their scholarships. If you are good enough you stay on the team...if not bye bye or medical hardship. Oversigning is a great way to truly find out who can play and it doesn't seem to effect their future recruiting because they are so successful.

I have a hunch that with 6 spots left, Denson is about #9 on our list. He may be #33 on NSD, but more than likely is on the outside looking in.

I think I saw where Denson will be in Oxford this weekend for their BIG recruiting weekend. Nkimdche will be there along with 21 other recruits including 6 of their verbal commits.

az, couple questions:
could we use ira at center? jus let him snap the ball then maul people. i know weve got dillard but with the extra schollies and overall lack of depth there, id be ok with signing two and having the position covered for years
also, how does sign and place work? if it helps us land ineligible kids like daniels and hearns for 2014 then i dont see why not

staff will sign a center next year.
If they can get into other schools let the kids go to another 4 year program. If they cant you have to recruit them all over again out of JUCO or prep anyways no need for the sign and place IMO.

Saban, does not sign unathletic OL prospects. And, that is the wrap on Denson.

I'd like to hear from AZ as to who he feels we have an honest chance with(50% or better) and compare those players to Denson. We'll likely finish with some 3 stars to fill out positions of need and Denson is certainly at least a 3 star OL in spite of weaknesses real or imagined.
It's expected that some recruits will not work out. Happens to all schools great and not so great. It's not like Denson has to work out.
