Muschamp Thankful He Kept Durkin
>> Will Muschamp knew very little about D.J. Durkin when he first arrived in Gainesville as the new Florida head coach in December 2010. Just that Durkin had been hired the year before by Urban Meyer and he coached the Gators' LBs and special teams.
That's about it.
But it didn't take Muschamp long to learn all he needed to know about Durkin. <<

It's an excellent article, Gators, on the hard work by Coach Durkin and how it's paid off this season for the Gators!

Gators Can Sew Up SEC East Title On Saturday
>> Getting to Atlanta for SEC Championship Game is the goal for every team in the SEC.
Florida has accomplished it more than anyone else.
Maybe that's why the 3rd ranked Gators are taking such a ho-hum approach to Saturday's all important game against No. 12 Georgia. <<

I can't decide if I want the score to be a 52-10 coming out party for Driskel or a 7-3 defensive beatdown with under 100 yards of Gator offense. One will piss off the Dawgs. The other will piss off the sports pundits.

That is exactly right.
First, I wasn't trying to ignore Tomis-Gator. Just been so busy lately adding more info to the opening post of this game thread and what time I do have on here by organizing other other game threads of interest to Gators.
We use the USA Today Polls from the beginning of the season for game threads because it is an important component when the BCS Standings begin in midOctober each Fall. And of course the BCS will determine to just what Bowl Games college football teams will play in during the postSeason.
For these reasons we don't use the AP Poll in the game threads. Frankly, it's not that important. Until a few years ago it was used as a component in the BCS Standings but the AP requested it no longer be a part. So, that was that.
One final point, I'm sure everyone has noticed that in the opening posts of the Gator game threads we also post the current BCS Standings along with the USA Today numbers for the Gators and the team they are playing. And of course everyone, almost, notices we have a ton of other info in the OPs of the game threads.
Go Gators!

Gators Still In Search Of "Violators"
Florida Defenders Look To Create Turnovers Every Chance They Get
>> Florida JR DL Dominique Eadley has the defensive cutups of all 6 Gators losses last season. They take about 15 to 20 minutes to go through.
Easley said that every night before he goes to bed he watches at least one. Georgia, Saturday's opponent in Jacksonville, is one of the favorites he has watched over and over and over. <<

It's All About The "W"
Winning More Important To Muschamp Than Statistics

Those days are gone. <<

For Murray, It's Always Family First
http://www2.tbo.com/news/gators/2012...rst-ar-543682/
Interesting article on Georgia QB Aaron Murray. He is from Tampa and played at Plant HS. His Dad is battling cancer and has been at the Moffitt Cancer Center. He also mentions that when Georgia lost to South Carolina, he came back to his residence in Athens and found that some "jerks" had egged it.
Sorry, I made an error on the link but it should be ok now.

Coach Muschamp Brings Back Florida Boom Times
Fiery Muschamp Rebuilds Gators In His Image
"You win with good people." - Coach Muschamp.
>> Sitting passively on a couch in his office, Will Muschamp neither looks nor sounds like the man they call "Coach Boom" because of his well documented sideline explosions. Those outbursts occur at his other "office" - the football field. At this moment, the fireball Florida coach is a portrait of proper decorum. <<

I'm guessing as a fellow engineer you figured out the sig? Bonus points if you coded a program to decipher it.

Program!?!? Who needs to have a program? Who here doesn't know the ASCII character set? The language might be a bit of a challenge for those who didn't study the language of languages, however.
I confess to having been intrigued by it a number of weeks ago and doing the 3 steps to track it to its roots in 73d. Nice job – Go Gators!
