I has been a while since the we beat a team by more than the points when the spread was over 25. Good job, guys. Have a nice break. You deserve it.

I think 1996 when we won 65-0 with Quezzie returning two punts for TD's.
EDIT: Thought you meant UK.

Jones and Johnson just took all the time off the clock to preserve the shutout; great game, and Brissett even got himself a TD on the day to boot.

We should have played Brissett for the entire 2nd half and let him throw the ball around. He's had an opportunity to throw all of 5 passes thuis year. It's kind of hard to develop if you don't get to throw. If Driskel gets injured, this could cost us. Furthermore, if we want Brissett to stick around rather than transferring, we need to give him a little more PT other than juast handing the ball off......

Did you seriously think uab had a shot? uab is uab. I never understand why people get their hopes up for the upset. If it were 15-15 with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter, uab would have found a way to lose in regulation. uab is uab.
Appalachian St / Mich type games are aberrations that almost never happen. Dillman was the s&c coach for appy st that season, btw.

This is Driskel's 4th start...he needs just as much playing time to develop.

Agreed. And it was pretty clear up 24-0 and still passing with Driskel that they were working on plays instead of just trying to play the clock at that point. I think its smart.

The point I'm making is that we brought Brissett in and he did nothing but hand the ball off. Considering the fact that our backup has very little experience, I think we should have let him throw a couple times. It would benefit Florida to develop the backup and might also persuade him to stay, bide his time and maybe redshirt rather than transfer for playing time. It's no big deal but I thiought this might be a chance to let him play a little.
