The buzz: All four starters return. Amerson is coming off a season for the ages. He had 13 interceptions
David Amerson did a lot of celebrating last season: He finished with 13 interceptions. (AP)
as a sophomore, more than 65 teams. Amerson is both big (6 feet 3/194 pounds) and fast, and he had multiple picks in four games.
"This is one of the best secondaries we will face, and probably one of the best secondaries in college football," said Tennessee coach Derek Dooley about NCSU.
N.C. State won eight games last year and many pundits predict that Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien has the most talented team in his six-year tenure.
The Wolfpack's defense was among the nation's best in turnover ratio last year (6th), and its top playmakers in the secondary are all back.
Cornerback David Amerson had 13 interceptions last season. Safeties Brandan Bishop (5) and Earl Wolff (3) combined for eight.
I'm not questioning NC State having a good ACC secondary, but you must know as well as we do that the level of talent in the SEC is just on an entirely different level. And Pass Defense is just about cornerbacks. It's about:
The vols have ZERO run game against stout defenses... That said UF will have 2+ ints!! Trust me, this staff has BEEN preparing a gameplan befor this game week. It's no surprise what Tn is gonna try to do. They won't come out trying to run they will come out throwing it Bcse everyone thinks they will try establish the run. Reverse psychology. Then if the pass is there then they can mix in the run. They will TRY to knock the wind out of us early. Should be a good game IMO. UF 27-20

Fowler just said that the last time Game Day was in Knoxville was 2004. I'm sure the Vols are going to be real excited about this on Saturday! Be interesting to see if Corso picks against us 2 Game Days in a row!

Who could ever forget this play? It gives me chills every time I watch it.
Best hit ever delivered in Gainesville. I was there to witness. The crowd went nuts.

Awesome video to get my fellow Gators pumped for the 6PM kick-off.
The nation's best cornerback - ROFL
NC State one of the best secondaries in college football - ROFLMAO
The best secondary in the country would be picked apart if a QB like Bray was given time to go through his progressions. He won't have that time tomorrow. Bray is a statue in the pocket, and while being overly aggressive in going after the QB hurt us against a shifty, mobile QB at A&M, I think this game is the perfect time to play aggressive on defense. I don't think UT will be able to run the ball much, and once we start getting in Donkey Boy's face, he will make mistakes.
I sincerely hope UT is as overconfident as they sounded this week. I also love that there was not a peep from Florida players. UF has been totally disrespected by UT and the media all week. Motivation should not be a problem for our guys tomorrow, thats for sure. Do your talking on the field Gators

The way the Vol fans have been talking and acting, this is their National Championship. Hope we can play better than a bottom tier ACC team that lost by only two touchdowns.
Unfortunately, Wright's hit would draw an immediate 15 yard flag now and he would be suspended from the next game if not ejected from the current one.
Oh how we've pussified football...

"But what I didn't want to have happen, and I made this clear to Jeremy, if I am able to go coach, I want to coach at one place, the University of Florida. It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach. I don't want to do that. I have too much love for this University and these players and for what we've built." - Urban Liar
