Keep that sophomoric crap off these threads, thanks.
And regarding the murder charges from years ago: there are multiple stories about what possibly happened that night and none of the posters on this board were actually there, I'm assuming. Therefore you do not know what happened; assumptions based upon your personal biases are of no objective value here.

I'm thinking it will be the Ravens win by 10. I think Flacco will pull out another TD near the end to give it a 10 point lead at the closing of the 4th.

The Harbaughs are excellent coaches and I'd be happy for either to win.

I heard the NFL is changing his stats from assisted tackles to "accessories".

I won't rehash last night's debate but I have not and will not ever root for the Ravens so long as Ray Lewis is on the team. Lewis is one of the greatest football players of all time, but in my book, an absolute turd of a man. He's always be in the same group as OJ.
I'd put Michael Vick in that same group as well, but Vick paid for his crime.

I want to know what Mrs. Welker really thinks of Mr Lewis ......"Proud of my husband and the Pats," Burns Welker wrote. "By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

I agree not to rehash last night either.. But I don't put Vick's crimes in the same category as RL's, and as you say, Vick did the time.
Anyway, I think SF is the better team, but it looks to me like the Raven's are the team of destiny this year.
I hope I'm wrong but:

Does divorce make you unworthy of being a role model?
Does 6 kids make you unworthy of being a role model?
I just want to establish if you are going to stand by these 2 comments in specific. You can PM if you want so we can go back to keeping this thread to predictions on the super bowl. For the Moderators, I will personally refrain from engaging into debate on this thread. I don't want it locked over content unrelated.

I think you misunderstood. That was a quote from Wes Welker's wife, not the poster.
Edit: And actually, if you read the article, it clarifies that "Lewis has never married any of the four mothers of his six children". Perhaps that won't sit well with the religious folk here that go out of their way to defend him whenever possible.

Yeah, and she just 'happened' to fall in love with a millionaire athlete and become a trophy wife complete with fake boobs. Put down the rocks, honey.

Ironic, you disagree with people that make assumptions about Ray Lewis but are quite guilty of jumping to your own conclusions here.

Actually, I didn't say that she was wrong, simply hypocritical. And yes you can tell her boobs are fake through that skimpy Hooters shirt she's modeling that's been cut down to showcase more cleavage. Hooters model / role model... what's the difference?

You insinuated that she was a gold digger. Based on the circumstances you're probably right and are entitled to your opinion. However, her intentions (marrying for money, etc.) have never been proven in a court of law which is apparently the prerequisite for one to have an opinion around here. So just remember that the next time you believe that others are wrong to believe that Ray Lewis isn't the most savory or genuine person in the world.

It's a good question, but the answer would be different for every individual. Everyone has their own reasons for rooting for certain teams and players. For example, many have their own reasons for rooting for Tebow. Many, in Tim's case, root for him because of the person he is. On the other hand, I root for Phillip Rivers, because he plays for my favorite team. I do not particularly like Rivers because of the way he acts on the field and the sidelines. I'm pretty much neutral on Ray Lewis, because I don't care about the Ravens. I do however, understand why some would root for him strictly for his talents or because they are Ravens fans. And I tend to root more for players due to their ability, and less for their off-field pursuits or behaviors. Ultimately, I don't think it's up to an individual to tell others why they shouldn't root for a particular player.
As for the thread objective, I'm going to say 49ers, 24-19. Haven't seen a line, but I would guess it opened with 49ers by about three. The over/under is probably pretty darn low, too. Might be a good game to take the over, esp. if it's in the low/mid 30s.
Edit: Just checked and the over/under opened at 49(!). I wouldn't touch it, because I like to root for the over, but if I were in Vegas, would bet the under here.

Kinda like Kaepernick but have hated the Niners since childhood. Wouldn't mind the Ravens if Ray Lewis wasn't on the team. Got no skin in this game. Will probably be the first SB I watch none of. (Any chance of Superdome collapsing the day before the game and having the whole thing called off and declare both teams "co-champs/losers?")

So now I object to it being said that Lewis is unsavory or insincere? That is news to me. I do object to the idea that Lewis murdered people who were found to have been killed in self defense by two other men, as that defies logic.
BTW I should cut her some slack as she did apologize.
