Turnout for the Inauguration is only a third of what it was last time, on a holiday, no less. Where are all these "solid voters" who turned out?
We were had by a voting coalition of homeless, illegals, and union voters. Chicago fraud on a national level.
Glad to see Obama supporters are honoring Dr. King's day by staying at home, sitting on their azz.
I don't find this video interesting because it reveals how politically uninformed people are. Hell, I already knew that. What's interesting is how easily people will go along with a story or line of questioning, especially if it comes from someone they perceive as a member of the media.
Assuming the people in this video are for real, you have to consider the larger implications of what this means.
Oh wait, these people are from the Hollywood strip. No wonder.

This was just one of these types of interviews. I have seen many of them. all with the same results. Let's face it, society is dumbing down and really doesn't care about anything that doesn't directly involve them.
Face book, twitter and smart phones have turned society into a reality show, where everyone is just a bad actor in life.

I don't know. I'll bet if you'd gone out on the street 50 years ago and asked about the presidential inauguration, you'd have plenty of people who weren't paying attention. And with a video like this, you don't know if they interviewed five people and got five idiots, or if they interviewed 50 to get these five.
Yeah, I think its a big leap to assume that the media is looking for informed people to give a smart, erudite take on a subject, but only comes across crazies and uninformed types and puts them on for lack of anything better.

It is documented that the majority of Obama voters are the least informed voters in the USA.
I am a bit more skeptical of this "documentation" than you are. All I found was this, and you're probably not going to like it.
We've had this conversation before, Jim, but the fans of each party clearly decrease their skepticism when they come across something that favors their views. Keep in mind that you are probably doing this, and give an extra critical eye to those "Fox News viewers are more intelligent than MSNBC viewers" types of studies. If you look hard enough, you can find a study for any conclusion you want.

Try it yourself. Go out and ask any simple ass question you want to, to 50 people . and sit back and marvel at the results.
Even on this site. you can get various interpretations of a written article, where everything is in black and white and everyone reads it differently.
Dumbing down is not centered on any profession, but with the turmoil and mindless actions of a number of those associated with education, it seems education is the frontrunner of dumbing down. interrogating a 5 year old girl for 3 hours as a terrorist? That is beyond dumbing down.
I didn't listen to the inauguration speech (I could think of a thousand more worthwhile things to do), but I heard someone say on the news that Obama announced he plans to do nothing about Social Security and Medicare. That has to be lying news, right?
