2011-12: UF 70 UGa 48 then UGa 76 UF 62
Well this year it was UF 77 UGa 44 in the O'Dome. I do not expect a turn around this year like last year, but UF has lost key games at UGa in a number of recent seasons. UF has lost at UGa two of the last three years.
Certainly before I started talking 18-0, I would want to see UF complete at least one sweep. It is tough sweep a team particularly when the second one is at their place. They know more about you and they will be fired up.

Be assured, the guys are going to hear that about 35 teams each practice this week.

We are talking a lot about Florida's defense this year but part of that is I believe we are a lot tougher inside this year than we were last season. Murphy and Yeguete are both stronger and Patric has improved his game. Also when Casey is healthy he adds more defense. On the perimeter we are proving to be relentless in disrupting the rhythm of opposing teams.
On the other hand this team is not so good they can take any win for granted because we saw what happens at K-State when the guys don't come prepared to play.

Last year there was no Yeguete the second game, and only 3 of our guys took free throws (one of them only took one). In the first game 6 guys took free throws, and they (Georgia) made only 1 free throw the entire game. Yeguete had 6 points and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes.

The best predictor of the future is the most recent past.
Last year's Georgia game was one of the worst the Gator BB team has played in a long time, much like this year's Georgia loss was one of the worst games the Gator football team played.
A loss to Georgia in Athens would put a real damper on the season. Hopefully, that doesn't occur.

Too many Seniors and Juniors to screw this up by being nonchalant.
UF at LSU in 2007 is a game that still disturbs me. No way should LSU have won that game, but they did. $h1t happens. You can never count a win before the final horn.
I think that this year's team is both better and more focused than the 2007 NC Champs. That is HIGH praise indeed. YMMV.

Focus on one game at a time. At UGALY is the most important game of the year.

The weakness of the 2005-07 teams was the guards were not big. They were not small, but teams like LSU with big athletic guards could give those teams problems. UF was fortunate not to meet such a team in either NCAA tourney.
So I find some of the losses at UGa much more disturbing than that LSU loss. Hopefully, your are right that the experience of this group will prevent it from happening again.

UGly is coming off their first SEC win of the season, so they will be pumped
Billy D needs to remind them about K-State, the last time the guys lacked defensive intensity and he sat a bunch of the starters down the stretch.
Unless the guys get complacent on the defensive end, we should be fine.

Guys uga is a terrible team this year. Even if we play a down game we'll win this one but we won't play down because Billy will pull anyone not doing what they're supposed to do.
