So Who Has To Obey Current Firearm Laws
Please prosecute this jack wagon. This is seriously getting irritating.

Did you read the article?

The AK-47 that Morrissey brought on the floor was borrowed from someone else, his office told The Washington Examiner. He told Capitol Police about his plan in advance. Members of the General Assembly, law enforcement personnel or anyone with a concealed weapon permit is allowed to bring a gun into the Capitol.

So which crime is it that you would like to charge him as having committed?

I can easily answer your question along with your snide comment. These guns a clearly outlawed in DC.............................Next
Perhaps you should better educate yourself on firearms laws. He is clearly in violation of the law and should be charged with a felony. Are you telling me he has special rights? Bullchit

He isn't in DC. He was in Richmond. In Richmond, as your article stated, a member of the State House is allowed to walk into the chamber with that gun.

May mistake on the DC part and your remark was snide, but really your telling me that a Representative of the house has the right to carry a firearm on gov property? What you're saying is he is above the law.

Nope. Sure doesn't. Noone is allowed to carry onto gov property outside of security. He should have been arrested on site.

This is the kind of cluelss fool who blames guns for crimes, not their criminal users.

Unless you are calling out the article, you are wrong on this.

Again, your article states that anybody with a concealed carry permit is allowed to bring a gun into the state capitol there. So your complaint falls flat again.

No he is following the letter of the law, which allows him as well as anyone with a concealed carry permit into the capitol with a gun. He is arguing that it is insane that the current law allows him to show up in their capitol with that weapon (just as it allows somebody to walk down main street with the weapon loaded or walk in front of a school with that weapon). It appears that you even agree with that point of view, since your first reaction was to call for his prosecution.

I happen to have a concealed carry permit as many other posters in this forum do, and not allowed to carry on gov property period. That is the law and you have a lack of knowledge of firearm law which is evident. There is no faster felony on the books.

So I can carry into the capital? Haha fat chance.
Like most gun control fanatics, you haven't a clue when it comes to firearms and regulations.

Again, the article clearly states that you can walk into the Virginia state capitol with a gun if you have a concealed carry permit. Wikipedia says the same thing in their article on gun laws in Virginia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Virginia
While I am sure I am not the most knowledgeable person about Virginia state law in the world, it would seem that if you are going to put down another person's knowledge of the topic, you should probably have some yourself. That doesn't appear to be the case here. I have relied upon the initial poster's article. If you have something that disputes the claims made in the OP's article, you should probably provide it.

Do you live in Virginia? As I pointed out, all evidence, including your own article, dispute your claims. If you can find some evidence to support your claims that your own article was wrong, I would be glad to look it over. However, all evidence currently in this thread is that within the state of Virginia, a person with a Concealed Carry Permit is allowed into the State Capitol with a gun.
Again, read your own article.

The article is wrong, it's a federal offense to carry a firearm on gov property.

Never liked those thumbhole stocks. I wonder if that AK he's holding is the Egyptian Maadi.
If so, great choice of gun. Too bad it's being held by this nutsack.

Please post a copy of this law or some basic description of it.
Here is another site that lists where you can't carry in Virginia, and it lists only federal government property, and courthouses, nothing about the State Capitol or other state government buildings (with the exception of schools and detention facilities).

The police do not make the laws. They are, however, required to enforce them. They have no authority to make exceptions. I am aware of no state which allows guns on government property other than in the hands of law enforcement or authorized security personnel. This dunderhead is breaking the law not to mention the fact that he is going to kill someone with his thumb on the trigger.
