Obama Jobs Council hits 1 year without official meeting
This won't shock anyone.... with a brain...
Obama doesn't care about jobs in the slightest... he want's more people/ looters/ voters on the Government dole.. that's what will keep him in power...
http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-...ng-154524.html
President Barack Obama's Jobs Council hit a notable milestone on Thursday: one year without an official meeting. The 26-member panel is also set to expire at the end of the month, unless Obama extends its tenure.
The group, formally known as the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, last convened on Jan. 17, 2012 for a White House session where it presented formal recommendations to Obama. It was the panel's fourth official meeting since it was created in early 2011.

Only council Obama is remotely interested in is the council that counts Food Stamp recipients. Those are future regime contributors.

Obviously his goal is global and domestic "redistribution". 20% unemployment and a $40 trillion debt is just fine with him.

At least he's consistent. His foreign policy subcommittee didn't meet either when he was in the Senate.

Does anybody know what is going on with the economic numbers? It seems there is a complete void of this with the media outlets.

Wait until all those college students that voted for him graduate in May. Good luck with that job search.

Wow...entire thread of responses that are nothing but partisan bitch mode.
Anyone seen a jobs program coming out of either side of congress?
What is Boehner & McConnell not elected to be leaders also?
Aren't they supposed to be concerned about jobs also?
The republican party ran on that crap in the midterms....
...anyone see them do anything besides pass more abortion laws?

Earth to 996, the Dem's have the presidency and the senate and thereby control policy in Washington. Remember, elections have consequences.

Anyone in Congress can bring a bill forward...
My question is since the midterms what legislation has the GOP brought forward since it is what they ran on in 2010?
Not hard to see what the GOP is truly concerned with....

80: Number Of Anti-Abortion Laws Passed By The States In 2011 | Via the Guttmacher Institute: “In the first six months of 2011, states enacted 162 new provisions related to reproductive health and rights. Fully 49% of these new laws seek to restrict access to abortion services, a sharp increase from 2010, when 26% of new laws restricted abortion. The 80 abortion restrictions enacted this year are more than double the previous record of 34 abortion restrictions enacted in 2005—and more than triple the 23 enacted in 2010. All of these new provisions were enacted in just 19 states.”

Its partisan to ask all of our country's leaders to focus on jobs?
Tell me, what would you say about the jobs effort of the last Congress?

bill
ALL of our leaders should be focused on jobs right?
So I can point to Obama's jobs bill....where's the GOP plan?
http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/19/politi...ked/index.html
GOP senators block top Obama jobs initiative
Washington (CNN) -- Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.
The Bring Jobs Home Act would provide a 20% tax break for the costs of moving jobs back to the United States and would rescind business expense deductions available to companies that are associated with the cost of moving operations overseas.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, had warned Democrats before the vote that his party would want to amend the bill -- possibly with hot-button issues like repealing the health care reform law or extending the Bush-era tax cuts for all income levels.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, responded that those amendments were not germane to the bill and he would not allow votes on them.

Boy oh boy, same old tripe and excuses from you. Obama is doing a good enough job doing what he wants without congress. Just look at the EPA's war on the American people unleashing their mayhem. This country could not afford a democratic congress to dig us a deeper grave monetarily and to march us more quickly into a European state. If you want to be taken more seriously, stop using Think Progress rubbish.
