Is he a Prather type player?

Not really a Prather type player. Prather is a freak athlete. Ultimately though I can see a similar statistical impact in his future.

Yeah, my bad, it was a tweet TO Goldkamp, not FROM him, my apologies for the confusion
@MalikG: @KOgbueze22 @goldkamp247 I wouldn't worry, Brother Ogbueze: 2-time champion UF PG Taurean Green played 66 minutes TOTAL as a frosh

I believe he had an awful turnover in only 2 minutes of play last night. We are all disappointed that Braxton isn't in the 8-12 min a game range, but it is obvious he is not there. Same with Walker and probably Graham.
He could turn it around next year, plenty of SO do.

Freshmen have always been really pushed by Donovan. It is even tough they can't get on the court. Parsons, Lucas, Speights, Noah, White, Lee, Nelson--there have been a ton of them over the years. Some leave, some joust with Donovan, most end up seeing he has their best interests in mind despite the hard coaching and limit of their playing time. Hopefully Ogbueze sees that.

Good point Rserina.
In fact, there are two kids contributing a lot this year (Yeguete and Prather), who saw very little playing time as Frosh.
Of course, there have also been a few kids who transferred because they didn't see much playing time becoming available in the near term, and are/have performed very well as Vital Starters where they transferred: David Huertas to Ole Miss, and Kenny Kadji to Miami.
You never know what will happen until it happens and then, you never know what the long-term effects will be until they occur.

family members are often more frustrated and out of touch than the player himself. i do not know if b.o. will return, but i can tell you this- - - this is hardly the first time a family member has said a gator player is leaving. and guess what? it doesnt always happen.
i suspect a few posters even know of a recent specific example.

If I recall correctly Joakim Noah didn't see the floor is our NCAA second round loss to Villanova in 2005 when he was a freshman. By dedicating himself to the game after that he went on to be the Most Outstanding Player in the 2006 NCAA tournament.
Unless you bank on "one and done" you need to give players time to develop.
Most of the folks here think that Lee Humphrey was a wasted scholarship during his freshman year. How did that turn out?

I was actually thinking about this a few weeks ago. Unless he signicantly improves, I think he transfers out either this summer or next. There are pgs on the way and his offense isn't good enough to justify his d liability.
