The Gator Basketball team will face one of the two new additions to the SEC for the first time in league play Thursday night. The team will once again be on the road with a trip to College Station Tx and a match-up with the Aggies. A&M is currently sporting a 12-3 (2-0) record and just last week went into Rupp Arena and handed the Wildcats a rare home loss during the period John Calipari has been head coach.

The player who will draw a lot of attention from Florida on defense will be senior guard Elston Turner who accounted for 40 of their 83 points in the game against Kentucky. This is a team that is perfectly capable of handing the Gators a loss if they don't come in ready to play. It's also another team I believe the Gators can win against if they can keep up the intensity they have shown in the last two outings but injuries are a serious concern. As of right now my understanding is Prather will not play and Rosario is still up in the air.

i agree we can win if we have strong intensity but we a injuries that will slow us down , im not feeling too good about the next 2 games.....

Rosario said on twitter that he's going to play. Which is good, obviously. Can't wait to see how Scottie matches up with Turner for A&M. This is a tough test fella's...

on the road - a new venue for the gators in fact,
A&M w/ confidence after beating UK in Rupp,
we're short a man or two/playing injured:

of course, maybe A&M comes back down to earth...played out of their mind vs UK, law of averages says they may be due an off game.

if they are anything like my golf game, i would invariably followup a 68 one day w/ a 79 the next [nowadays, add 10 to each]

PY needs a big game as they have no one that can guard him. Just worried about foul trouble because of the short bench and injuries...probably see quite a bit of zone tonight so it might come down to how well A&M can shoot it from deep.

It's going to be a "White Out" game tonight for the A&M fans. What's funny is that Florida will be wearing the home jerseys tonight.

We need to welcome A&M to the SEC in basketball just like we did in football. Playing them and Missouri back to back will tell a lot about what to expect the rest of the season.

Thank goodness. All week I had been worried about Prather, Murphy, Rosario and Yegeute's injuries. But now that I know you'll be in the stands, I can relax. Victory is in the bag.
