Tough to be a Falcon fan (not me). One losing appearance in S uper Bowl history. At least they look good in the regular season and still have a young qb. Need some better D players tho.

American football is by far the worst sport in the world. You have a roughing call against the Falcons for a slap on the face guard yet the 49er LBer takes 2 full steps and abuses Ryan on an obvious late hit. Then the 49ers get away with the play of the game for pass interference. Name the sport with the most rules? American football. That's why it has never made it even a tiny bit outside of the country. It can't even compete with high school soccer in Germany.

It should have been if they are going to call a roughing for a tickle to the face guard. I don't see any whiplash on the 49er qb.

Ryan chokes again. QB position is sooooooooo overrated. A rookie QB is going to the SB thanks to a stud OL (3 first round picks are starters).

Whatever, I was kind of indifferent on the game anyway.

Just struck by how few championships the city of Atlanta has given they participate in all the major sports. Hawks and Falcons have been shutout, just the Braves and its been quite awhile for them.

I was indifferent too but I didn't like the last 4 minutes. If you are going to call roughing for a tickle on the face guard, then you have to eject for a late hit (yes it was, the fricking ball was already past the LOS when the defender got to him). And the non-call for an obvious pass interference at the end really made a good playoff game one of the worst I've seen in years.

Not close enough to PI to make a game changing call there.

Oh Brother! American football is the greatest sport in the world. Please amend your statement to NFL football, which I will admit has been destroyed by Roger Goodell. I knew a ticky tack PF or PI would cost at least one team a trip to the SB. The ratings and $ generated won't suffer, so Goodell will remain in power. But the sport itself has been ruined. You can't even hit a guy hard anymore, even with the shoulders.
