Obviously meat tastes different (nobody is going to confuse a chicken breast for a steak) and has different makeups of fat/protein. My point was I'm not going to get all grossed out because I may have eaten some horse meat or pork in a burger. It is meat.

I guess I just think of horse meat as third world, Now elk and bison are another story for me. Completely tender, hart healthy and tasty. They also cook real quick because of the leanness. I remember when I was a kid and the rumor was White Castle used horse meat. Never ate there

Are you sure it wasn't just some well-seasoned Chupacabra?...

People in the US think horse meat is gross because they aren't used to it. There is a taboo against it in the US. Just like a person in India would think we are weird for eating cattle.
People eat horse meat in countries like France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and many other first world countries.

Well I'm a hunter and horses have alway been used as a tool having been a competitive rider. It's in my head, just like I wouldn't think about eating groundhogs and possum.
