Several Wyoming lawmakers are proposing legislation designed to protect gun-owners from any potential federal firearm ban. Anyone trying to enforce a federal gun ban could face felony charges under the proposal. It also includes a provision allowing the Wyoming Attorney General’s office to defend any state resident against any federal firearm ban.
I don't like these somewhat unexciting facially contradictory state statutes people pass. For something like this, I would rather see the state get real smarmy and offer a tax deduction or something for completion of a firearm safety course and legal purchase of a gun. It is a much cheekier way to tell Washington what they can do with gun control.
A hotel clerk with a gun may have thwarted a robbery Friday morning (January 4th).
Investigators say just before 1:00 AM, two African American males entered the Quality Inn at the corner of North Poplar and F Streets in Casper, with their faces concealed.
One of the suspects told the clerk it was a hold-up, making a gun gesture with his hand.
The clerk then pulled a gun from her lunchbox and pointed it at the suspects, who then fled

You do have to take a hunter safety course to get a hunting license in Wyoming.

Exact model that I have. I prefer the short barrel similar to what Arnold used in The Terminator over the long barrel that you see in gangster movies. Short barrel also makes it easier to use it one-handed.

The statement appears to leave open the possibility that the NRA could (maybe) support tighter restrictions to keep guns out of the hands of Americans who already cannot legally own them. But the NRA's description of what it was ready to talk about with Biden did not include gun control. I don't think a ban affecting domestic manufacturers could be enacted by executive order. Perhaps I'm mistaken there, but typically gun control executive orders have been directed at the import market.
