Can't speak for anyone else, I don't hate Denver, I don't hate Fox and I don't blame them for picking up Manning given their options.
My problem is solely with the way Elway treated Tim during the year, he acted like Tim was a threat to his throne as king of Denver. He came across as petty and insecure and may have helped end Tim's career as a QB to boot.
But the bonus was seeing Manning fail because I just don't like the guy. He isn't a clutch player, he is a massively over exposed - I see him on every second or third commercial I see on TV it feels like during the games, and he is clearly the king of image consciousness which strikes me as phony. The fact that he as a Vol probably doesn't help either.
So watching him and Elway fail isn't something that will make me cry myself to sleep at night.
Doesn't mean I would boo either of them at Ballyhoos though lol.

"Get over it" ??
Don't we all live and die by the sword? You pays your money, you takes your choice.
Denver chose to rid themselves of Tebow in preference to Manning (which is fair enough) but ultimately, the record will show that Tim took the team further in his first year than Peyton did. The delicious irony of it all - Tebow's lack of opportunity in Denver, the way he turned it around, the way the Broncos have fawned to every wish that Peyton had to get him to play there... for him to fail where Tim succeeded is just beautiful.
I can hear the sympathisers saying "Ah, well it was the Defense's/Prater's fault..." etc, but it can't go both ways - this will be the same brigade as last year who claimed it was only because of those two that Tebow won!
Just as sports franchises will get credit for where it's due when deserved, they will also take stick when they get it the other way around. I'm sure Peyton and the Broncos will come back with a chip on their shoulder next year but you can't expect the Tebow sympathisers to "Get over it" less than 12 hours after it all went back in Denver's faces...
I'd like to think I'm a realist. Peyton is a HoF QB - I honestly don't blame the Broncos for what they did. I do, however, think it's damn funny given all the chirping Tebow has taken this year that it should fall back in Denver's face like this.

The "better" QB has a zero percent playoff win record for the Bronco's.
Tebow has a 500% record in Bronco playoff games.
Manning had lot of yards against a very easy scheldule, but like his record said he was, he sucks in cold weather, yet the Bronco's sold the farm for this result.
Clearly better is behind Tebow in the playoff record book at Denver. At least they can talk about their legend, while watching the rest of the playoffs.

Tebow brings toughness. Manning not so much.
Peyton throws a beautiful pass, but feels the pressure of a pass rush and in big games makes mistakes.
I would venture to say that if TT was the Broncos QB this year their regular season record would not have been as good, but no way they lose that game yesterday..it was his kind of game..physical and close.

The NFL network says the Ravens saw Manning couldn't throw downfield or hit the long outside throw and adjusted.
Your picks and fumbles cost your team the game. Your cold weather record, is what we said it was... and why some of us said, Elway was an idiot for getting a fair weather Manning.

'You people'? Oh, hello cane thing. Please list some of the thousands of players who turned around a losing team and won a playoff game then got a raw deal like Tebow.

They may have overpaid Manning by a tad $92,500,000. Give or take a few mill cuz I'm only estimating salaries here, someone must know on these boards. Sorry, but Timmy's season was more exciting. Go Tebow...

No, not same result. #15 WON a playoff game.

My whole issue is with how elway treated Tebow. It was uncalled for and shows what a POS this guy is.
What Denver should have done is kept Tebow and let him play behind Manning for this year and next and possibly a third year. Let Tebow get some reps and learn the pro style offense behind a hall of fame qb. Then, I think Denver and Tebow would be set up for a long time. Oh yeah, throw in some Tebow plays into the offense.

Tebow isn't overcoming a lackluster defensive performance like that.
I hope Tebow ends up in the HOF, really. But some of you Florida fans are making the rest of the country gag with your poor logic about him as a QB. I'm not saying he'll never make it, just that he wasn't as good of an option as Manning, even at 36.

I was hoping for a comment like this, because I wanted to tell someone to just STFU. Did you not see the SF/GB game? Do you think TT could not do what Kaepernick did? He needs to be given a chance to take practice snaps and play with the first team in the NLF. When he did that, he took them to the playoffs and won a game in the playoffs, which is more than Manning did this year. Look at who Denver played this year. Any halfway decent QB could have done the same thing. I am sick and tired of the Manning love fest. He is a great human being, but he doesn't have a great arm any more. He is done.

My dislike for Elway goes back WELL before Tim Tebow ever took a snap in Pop Warner. I know some thongs about him behind the scenes from a previous job. (Curious if secgator has ever dealt with him.)
This is just icing on the cake.
Edit: should say "things" not "thongs"...but Its still appropriate so I'll leave it.

This makes too much sense.
But Elway never impressed me as the sharpest tool in the shed.

It also proves Manning is in the wrong climate and misses his dome, just like we said he would...
