Tebow isn't overcoming a lackluster defensive performance like that.
I hope Tebow ends up in the HOF, really. But some of you Florida fans are making the rest of the country gag with your poor logic about him as a QB. I'm not saying he'll never make it, just that he wasn't as good of an option as Manning, even at 36.

Not speaking for any other Gator fan, just my own feelings. The joy I am feeling today has less to do with Manning and almost everything to do with Elway. It's not so much the football decision he made to pursue Manning (undoubtedly one of the two best FA QB's ever - along with Brees). It is the very visible, palpable, absolute disdain he had for Tebow throughout last season. Every time Tebow won a game, he looked like he was sucking a lemon. It may be the only time in my life that I've seen a team CEO, president, GM, etc. seem conflicted as his team won games, simply because he didn't like the manner/style in which his team was winning. The only comparison I have is from a freaking movie....'Major League' where the owner is banking on her own team losing.
Manning is clearly the better QB. I don't think any remotely objective Gator fan is disputing that. That said, I almost think Elway's desperate pursuit of Peyton last offseason had more to do with his desires to ditch Tebow than with Manning's greatness. He saw it as his only chance to ditch Tebow without the fans turning on him. Let's not forget the huge question mark that was Manning's health last year, with many thinking he would not ever play again. I don't think Elway takes such a giant leap of faith if not for his disdain for Tebow. So in conclusion, suck it Elway!

To all of you that have a problem with someone mentioning GOD, I really don't care what you think. I am tired of having to defend my beliefs If you don't like it don't respond. It's that easy. BTW I was not the one that brought it up but have no problem with it. If you don't believe then why does it bother you.

Thanks for posting the stats...awesome. Hey, like I said. Manning is the man, he's a great QB. I don't think Tebow is nearly as good. But, as other posters alluded too, knowing horseface got kicked in the nutz, and Tebow won his playoff game was a glorious bit of irony. In the beginning of the season I wanted to see Manning fail, then I got over myself and was happy for Denver fans. But this loss kind of makes me smile. Tebow is a winner. Not a better Qb, but perhaps as good of a winner. I just hope he gets his shot. A whole season. Maybe the OC will interview at Jax and maybe seeing he had success with Timmy, maybe, well...ya never know. Go Timmy. Go Gators.

Thanks. With that said, has there ever been a player whose playoff performances don't match his regular season dominance to the extent of Manning? He has come up small in many late game situations in the postseason. Look no further than the pick 6 in the Super Bowl vs. New Orleans. Not including his rookie season, you could probably count on one hand how many times he threw late across his body towards the middle of the field...the cardinal sin for any QB.
I hate to call a player as great as him a choker, but he has done some things pretty out of character in the postseason. He is literally a terminator-like machine during the regular season in his career. It's not like Favre, whose gun-slinging style was consistent in all his games (often to his detriment in the playoffs). I think Peyton definitely presses in playoff games. Today's int instantly reminded me of Favre's ridiculous int in overtime with the Vikes in N.O.

Look for Manning to get his fourth MVP against ONE Super Bowl. He does less with more.

Nothing wrong with God.
The problem is that people immediately turn Tebow topics into "God vs. the Devil" or "Christians vs. Atheists"--or even worse, Too Hot nonsense. Why do we always have to go there? Stop it.

the ravens---maybe the weakest team in the playoffs, denver was a huge favorite. It was manning's turnovers that cost them the game. They couldn't even get one playoff win, at home. Classic. Any shots of elway in his luxury suite doing some dance moves?

@ESPNStatsInfo: Peyton Manning lost his 1st start of a postseason for the 8th time. No other starting QB in the Super Bowl Era has done that more than 4x.
And If it wasn't for an epic 2nd half meltdown by the Patriots defense six years ago, there would be zero rings for Manning.

Spot on!
When #15 ran it in late in the game last year to beat the Jets at home and the camera showed Elway up in the box wearing his bitter beer face it spoke volumes. I wonder if he had the same face today when #18 tossed that costly INT?

Exactly! Denver's management is all about Elway's failures.

Not the same result. Tim won a playoff game for them. Manning hasn't.

Its always nice to note that when Fox got out of Tim's way and let him run an offense that didnt consist of run, run , run...punt he had the highest QBR in the NFL last year. Unfortunately for Tim he only got to run it when they were in the last 5 minutes of the game. Last I checked control the ground game, play good defense and dont turn the ball over are what wins games not flashy numbers and picks in the last minute of the game.
I am so looking forward to what will probably be Peytons last decent year next year. His arm strength is dropping fast and is easily seen on his right side drop back passes on his 15 yard out patterns. No zip on the ball what so ever. After one more year he will slip and Elway will be back to finding a new qb again but still responsible for selling Manning to the Broncos fans as the team sinks like a rock under John Fox. Mark my words!

You people really need to let the pathetic hate for Denver go. Thousands of NFL players have gotten a raw deal and gotten cut like Tebow, and plenty more will. Get over it.
