Who has earned the respect for their integrity more than Tebow?
Certainly not the front office of any NFL franchise that ever existed.

Truth. I believe it was actually Tim's brother who was incorrectry quoted about this "choice". There is no record of Tim ever saying he had such a choice. Not one single quote.

"They had all the power but they listened to me and what I had to say, and that was very gracious of them because they didn't have to do that, and they could have just done whatever," Tebow said. "I told them I would love to be a Jet.
[The Broncos] said, 'Well, we have a few teams that are interested with similar deals' and were very gracious to ask me what I thought," Tebow said. "So I talked to [Broncos coach John Fox] very honestly about it, and I told him I would love to be a Jet and that the Jaguars are my hometown and [to do] whatever was best for them."

All this says is that he told the Broncos to do what was best for them. It never says I want to be a jet over a jag. The last part basically says " I'll be happy as a jet or in my hometown...so pick what's best for the Broncos. Typical Tim Tebow class.

Don't think so.
Which is a real shame, Jags probably could have actually beaten a few of those teams.

Would love to see Tim go to New England - and reunite with AH.
He could learn a LOT in that program.

So if it was the Broncos decision, as you imply, why did they choose the lesser of the two offers? The Jags offered more money and a better pick. Hmmmmmmm

So, should Meyer be considered the best college coach ever since he took a "sucky" qb and turned him into the 1st sophomore heisman who broke all kinds of records? Consider he also had Cam, who won it 2 years later. Is the pro game that much different that Tim can't adapt to it? If Ponder can succeed, anyone can.

The low IQ guy had a winning record as a starter, last year's best quarterback rating in the NFL in the last five minutes of games, and has a playoff win unlike so many other quarterbacks who you consider better.
He also makes a team more money than almost any QB in the game. Who has the low IQ, the losing teams who won't cash in.
Last time I head anyone say a QB has a low IQ, the guy won four superbowls.
Bradshaw will never win a quarter on jeopardy, but he damn sure could play ball.
Only way to stop Tim, is to sit him on the pine.

Craziness. The GM wants an open QB competition where the "best QB will win the job," but is afraid of letting Tim compete in that competition.
I really don't care for the idea that bringing him to a team is more of a distraction than anything else.
This notion that it "puts too much pressure" on the other QB tells me that "the other QB" is not "the guy." Is it bad for the likes of Randy Orton and Mark Sanchez? Sure. But can you imagine Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Steve Young or Tom Brady "stressing" because the back up QB is a player like Tim?
Very frustrating that Tim has taken the one chance he was given, and succeeded in winning in an offense that was not built around his strengths. Now, no one seems to want to A-give him a chance, or B- build the right offense around him.
I live in Jax and was ready and am still ready to purchase Jags tickets if they get Tim. Some ask if I will change my mind and purchase tickets if the Jags start winning. The answer to that is "no." While I might become interested enough to watch their games more regularly on TV, the only thing that I can see myself spending money on is Tim becoming part of the franchise. Just being transparent.
In Christ forever,
Mike

My mother and I moved to Florida from northern NY in 1981, and at that time I adopted the Dolphins as my favorite NFL team, but my level of enthusiasm for the pro game pales in comparison to my passion for the Gators (whom I fell in love with when I decided to attend UF in 1985).
Count me among the masses that would suddenly become "Jag fans" if Tebow were to join the team. My passion for all things Gator would override my mild allegiance to the Dolphins if Tebow were in Jacksonville (where I live now)....

While their fan base would have grown tremendously, in fact my dollars would have switched from the Bucs to the Jags, do we really expect the org to make a decision based on that?
Usually fans BASH organizations that make moves for money or business reasons. We want organizations that make moves that they believe will get them wins. And this new GM certainly wants to win. They don't think Tebow can do it, I disagree. But at least they are making moves for the right reasons

They best team the Jags play next season is the Niners. Only you will have to fly to London to see it.
The other 7 home games suck out loud for the same low price as before.

History is full of great college QB's who could not make it in the NFL. Tebow is not an anomaly.
