I agree completely. It is perfectly obvious that Obama cares little for the Constitution, and other laws, for that matter. He subjugates the Constitution to his overwhelming need to get his own way.
Recall that Obama taught constitutional law at Harvard. Perhaps he should go back for a refresher course.
Prepare for a major battle if Obama decides to ignore the Consitution. How much of our money will the government spend to fight the multitude of cases that are inevitable all the way to the Supreme Court?
Correction. Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago and the Constitution is not clear on the issue of gun ownership.
The 2nd amendment was an anachronism almost immediately after it was written as were the other parts of the Constitution dealing with militias. The multi fold arguments surrounding the concept dated back 500 years in England before our Constitution was written and there was no clear consensus on its meaning. It's garbled language reflects that fact. There have only been 2 laws passed by Congress based on militia, the most recent being over 100 years ago., and except for the National Guard, no implementation of the control and oversight required by the Constitution. It's archaic.

Yes, obama should shut up about this issue, if all he's going to do is issue broad divisive statements, like he's going to solve our supposed gun problem via executive order. Regardless of how much you worship the man, he's not king of the U.S.

Auto accidents kill approximately 100 people per day nationally. Should we ban cars? Or do our best to enforce "existing" laws on the books and keep those who should not be operating vehicles (impaired drivers) off the roads?

Did the "existing" laws come down from the mount in stone tablet form?
And how do you keep those who shouldn't be operating off the road?
You pull their operating registration (Driver's Liscense) and incarcerate them when they disobey.
So should we...mandatory registration of all guns, background checks on all guns...incarcerate those that don't want to comply
