Publix Is The Best!
Seriously I sometimes wonder if you Floridians know how good you have it.

As a life long girl watcher I can tell you the best looking women in Central Florida are at Publix...Well, upon further thought Panera Bread may have publix beat.

GreenWise in S Tampa around 6pm. Panera and Starbucks in the morning. Pharmaceutical reps stack up like tarpon on an outgoing tide.

One of my buddies from DC just informed me that the Whole Foods in Fairfax has 16 beers on tap and TVs. In his words, "Publix has great food but you cant get drunk in the store"

spent some time getting groceries in No Carolina a few years back the locals steered me to Harris - Teeter what they said was the equivalent or better than Publix, what a let down, it may be the best No Caro has to offer but not even close to our Lakeland based Publix Liking me some Gville Trader Joe's for some of their specialty items tho

Trader Joes is awesome in many ways but its not really a full one stop shop like Publix. I used to shop at Harris-Teeter, way overpriced.

amen to that - the great thing about it is they opened the Gville TJ's in the Butler Plaza where they now have 2 Publix stores

So true. Miss Publix so much since moving to LA. Best fried chicken, sugar cookies and second best chocolate chip cookies. The Philly cheese steak am the subs in general are awesome too

When I lived in Virginia Harris Teeter was the closest thing to Publix. High end, Served Boars Head, clean and orderly store, and good service. I still missed Publix though, and I'm glad to be back in Fl. I shop at the Pub all the time.

the best part of Publix is not on that list the Fried Chicken, I live in Texas now and evertime I make it back to florida the first thing I do is get some publix fried chicken.

Down the street from my mom's house in Charlotte is the Mecca of grocery stores. It is the Morrowcroft Harris-Teeter by Southpark. A full kitchen sits behind the deli area, inumerable fresh and fantastic offerings tempt you. I have eaten many great meals from their deli case. They also have both a hot bar and salad bar. The butcher has a case of aging steaks with labels noting their date of availability. Pricey, yes. But, close to Publix. While I know, and haved shopped in different Harris-Teeter stores, that they are not all like the Morrowcroft store. It is my favorite grocery store.
I also love Publix, especially BOGO on my favorites. But, I hate that their deli is so limited, and that their deli items are not fresh. Deli salads served in presealled cartons seems walmartish.
