Elam is a safety and isn't undersized at all - he's the same size as Earl Thomas, Ed Reed, and several others. He's an outstanding run defender, lays the wood, and isn't a liability in pass defense. True gamer who plays with a ton of heart.
My gator bias has him rated as the #1 safety in the draft. Others may prefer Texas' Kenny Vaccaro. I see Elam going in the late 1st or early 2nd round. I think he'll put up great strength measureables at the combine. The more fluid he looks in DB drills (flipping hips, tracking the ball) and the faster 40 time he runs the higher he'll get drafted.
