Meyer's Half Time Fumble
Urban had the prime oppurtunity to get some coach-speak in at the half when asked what ND had to get back in it. First response was "I don't know". Make up something that sounds reasonable is betther that IDK! He later came back with more, but first response was a major recruiting fumble.

Please stop bringing up Meyer here please. Creating threads about that guy leads to alot of BS that usually leads to people sh*tting on our current coach and team.

I had to laugh at the look on Meyers' face after the game when they were comparing the great coaches and putting Saban in the same elite group as Bear Bryant and did the comparison showing Saban's 4 NC's compared to Meyers' 2. Meyer looked like he had a mouthful of marbles!

I'm sure it is not the first time he has said that in response to "how do we get back in it?" When Bama is concerned.

Sometimes a team just isn't on the same level as the other. There was nothing Brian Kelly could have done to overcome the obvious talent differential and I think that is kind of what he was alluding to with the IDK.

Well being that they are not his team...coaches...or personnel. Than I have no problem with his answer. How is he supposed to know how to get an undermanned slow team back into the game, with little knowledge of their personnel and tendencies. He has never had an undermanned slow team. Some of you are really digging deep to bash on the guy. I mean seriously....He lost recruits because he can't solve Notre Dames problems in an instant?

His biggest "fumble" was his SEC game preparation against 'bama, and his second was his "throat-attack" he suffered afterwards.

That might have been bad and I didnt see it but Brian Kelly coming out for the second half said the same thing. That is much worse. ND just never belonged on that field. Plain and simple every time they play an elite opponent they get run out of the stadium.

I'm not a basher...but I hate tOSU....so I did start calling him "That Coach Up North" as soon as he landed in Columbus.

True, Rick. Followed by his "Deer in the Headlights" season in 2010.

How about "CUN" Coach Up North? Or I'm sure some will want to find a way to add a "T" at the end.

He couldn't answer intelligently (the answer was obvious: ND was done) and in fact looked sheepish to even be there.

I got the sense that Meyer was actually saying, "I don't know" more like.. "they're screwed." With no hope in a totally dominated game. Isn't that when he mentioned
the speed of Bama compared to ND? Any rate. Bama looked like a pro team playing a college mid level team. Hopefully, next year, we'll look similar-but a Gatorized coach Boom version. Here's to next years success.

how are you gonna bash him when ND's own coach said basically the same damn thing?
Seriously, you Urban bashers are so fixated that you have absolutely no objectivity at all. It's actually pretty pathetic.

Meyer I'm sure is glad os was inelageble or they could have been the team to get hammered, again.
He probably shat his pants while having flashbacks watching the game

What an absurd notion. Don't you ever get tired of trying to minimize Urban's coaching ability? The answer was easily "I don't know", as in "nothing", because no amount of coaching was going to bridge the talent gap between those two teams.

Actually had OSU been eligible it's a lot more likely that they would have been the team getting to pound a soft ND squad...
