I think there are some Clemson and Louisville fans who might disagree with you.
But at full strength and fully engaged? You are probably right. Add Texas A&M.

And how over rated is Manti? The SEC probably has 6 better LBs.

Don't rule out Ole Miss and Vandy. This is further evidence about how much of a gulf there is between the SEC and the rest of the country. Everyone was talking about what a difficult schedule ND had played. That is simply laughable. They beat Pitt on a bad call by officials and a kid missing a 30 yard field goal. Our loss to Louisville was a let down of epic proportions and the Mad Hatter used his clock management skills to pull a defeat from the jaws of victory this bowl season and Miss St is one of those teams which is destined to mediocrity. The SEC as a whole demonstrated it is the dominant conference once again this bowl season otherwise.

That game hurt his draft stock imo.

This is why we should be delighted about a playoff system.
Think about it - FSU was a single egg-lay against NCState and a lucky bounce or two against us from playing for the NC against Notre Dame. The rest of their schedule is meaningless to the polls if enough people "buy" your strength.
Fans would have been wooing the outcome of an FSU/ND game... wow, what a show! But pretty scheduling and press bias towards certain programs still completely overshadows reality when it comes to the polls. Anyone can blow a given week - we did it against UGA. It doesn't necessarily mean your team is worse than another. It's a fallacy of the system when such fine margins are involved. ND got in because it was undefeated, not because it was the 'best' team in the Nation.
Playoffs will eliminate these poll frauds from winning the National Championship - 4 is ok, but 8 teams is ideal. You'd have to eliminate 3 quality opponents. The poll fraud still exists to ensure a place in the top 8 but ND would have been beaten if not SMASHED by at least 3 of those top 8 teams in the final poll and several more might have.
Roll on the playoffs - they are only going to enhance the SEC domination of the title.

Depends on which UF team we are talking about. I mean let's be honest. We had a great season, but the 2012 version of the Florida Gators are fully capable of not playing well and losing to a team like ND.

Oh, wait a second.

Loosely translated, in English Manti Te'o means Missed Tackle.
(not original with me)

Yup, in many respects, ND had a season very similar to ours. Won close games against lowly competition and had some impressive wins sprinkled in.

One bowl game is not the same as one SEC team after another.
The Sooner's got rocked, USC looked like the worst O in a bowl without their starting QB and Pitt got blasted. There are your "big" wins for ND.
ND would not have won the East nor the West in the SEC, and would be playing for third on either side.

they also beat, controversially, Stanford at home in overtime.

ND got a quick whistle and only beat Stanford because of that. And Stanford didn't play a lot of SEC teams either if you get my drift.
Against Pitt, ND had two players on the field at the same time wearing the same number, which is a penalty. To rub it in for Pitt, Ole Miss got called for the same infraction in the bowl game. The one that was missed, won the game for ND against Pitt.
Oklahoma just got scored on again, so there is that also.
The undefeated thing didn't keep Vegas from saying they were ten points under Bama, while some poll voters think undefeated is the only thing.
Over rated, is losing by four td's. Lots of teams were better than ND this year.
