Some of you should have seen Meyers daughter on the Big Ten network on what her father went through when he was sick. Despite pictures of Meyer looking like crap, some of you have chose to believe your own lie, that he wasn't ill.
So you helped run off the only guy who gave us two national titles. And while you brag on the crystal balls he left us, you ignore that he is the one that did it.
Meyer has won everywhere, and would have beaten ND as well.
Some of the players you cheer for today, are from his efforts. And we still have two crystal balls that he produced for us. Only Spurrier is as good as Meyer, you ran him off also when perfection was not achieved.

Never would have happened, but it would have been hilarious had Saban come up behind Meyer on the set and gone "BOO!".....LOL

Looks like you have a habit of trying to run off those better than you...
Do you hate those crystal balls, or are you just a people person.

Rpm, I often agree with you but there is a lot of nonsense in this post.

Do you have a link to the video, I'd like to watch it for the drama alone. You see, I also remember his daughter squalling that "he will NOT be the next coach at OSU" via twitter.
I don't know if he was ill or not, and I don't really care too much. We paid him very well for his services and after his butt whipping by Saban he decided to leave. Do you really think he leaves if he wins that game? I don't. Regardless, he left...only to come back and give a half-assed effort. My opinion is that he was trying to save the jobs of his staff and audition Da Dazzler for HC. Then when that failed, he left again.
Took a year 'off' to deal with whatever illness he might have, and ostensibly spend more time with his family. Yet, despite being a multimillionaire, with absolutely no *requirement* for a paycheck, decided to work for ESPN and travel.
Then he dove right back into coaching at OSU. I hope the lying SOB loses every game he coaches. Yea, I know he won't, but if he ever does manage to scratch his way back to the championship game I hope an SEC school is there to drop kick his arse back to Columbus. And if that team happens to be coached by Nick Saban, so be it.

When he quit he was 1-1 against Saban. Why on earth do people really think that fear of Saban scared off Meyer?

Because I believe Meyer could see the handwriting on the wall. The year before it took everything he and Tebow had to win the SECCG. Then they returned most of their starters and struggled the entire year to get into the MNC...only to get absolutely arse whipped.
I think he knew what was coming and got out while the argument you're making could still be made.

Doesn't add up.
He'd just gone 13-1 two straight years, largely on defensively-stout teams. He had the #2 recruiting class coming in for 2010.
This is just a narrative Gator fans dreamed up to make Meyer seem meek and to marginalize the loss of a very, very good football coach.

osu received the worst penalty possible for one year. going undefeated and not being able to play in the nc or even a bowl game was karma. any other record would not have been as severe. of course, no tv would have made it worse.

It adds up just fine....Saban absolutely castrated Meyer in 2009.

Probably didn't take a crystal ball to figure out Saban was going to beat him down the next year too. He left that ass-whipping for Muschamp to take.

This would be pretty antithetical to the personality type of Meyer and every other championship coach.

Leaving him 1-1 against Meyer. Given all the other nonsense surrounding the Meyer, the program and that game, Saban would be pretty far down Meyer's list of reasons to quit.

Meyer saw his team get absolutely crushed in 2009 with one of the greatest players in college football history. He saw what his team was, saw the mess he had created, and when he got beat down again in Tuscaloosa, his acid reflux got out of control.
My newborn son had acid reflux bad too. He was miserable but somehow, someway we found some medicine had he leads the healthy life of 5 year old boy.
