But assuming he's still in Fort Valley, even if he's totally committed to UF, that means all those Clemson influences are lurking around and you know the Clemson coaches will be calling tonight. I doubt Muschamp or the coaching staff will feel confident on Robinson until he's on the UF campus and away from those influence.

Fort Valley is south of Macon; there aren't any Clemson influences down there, other than the HS coach with his own agenda. There are some Auburn fans there, but not any Clemson that I've ever seen.

Hahaha! It's almost funny that you actually believe that. I can only assume you haven't been following recruiting long.
I will state my point again. It is not that Robinson has changed his mind. I don't think that's the reason he isn't here.
My point is that assuming he is at home in Fort Valley, regardless of where his mind and his mother's mind is, all those Clemson influences are going to be around him for another night. You know the Clemson coaches are calling. And you can be sure his high school coach, who seems adamant that he should be in Clemson is going to at least try to make a visit tonight. You can almost bet on it.
Hopefully he and his mom won't answer the phone and won't talk to the HS coach, but the coach is apparently a big influence on him, so I suspect they will talk. If they do, I hope Robinson and his mom stay strong. But remember that it was this same HS coach who changed his mind quickly the last time Robinson committed to UF.
I don't think this is 100% over until Robinson is on campus.

Yeah, don't mind DONE. He's just a public-schooled kid. It's not his fault.

A lot of what I said was tongue on cheek. Obviously there is always a chance and his high school coach will probably be trying to get in his ear. Still, this seems like the end game today, as there was no reason for him to need to state his choice before enrolling. If I were his family, I would be allowing no calls or contact from anyone else once he confirmed that was his choice. That, to me, is the role of his parents.
Tomorrow will tell the tale, but I cannot remember the last time there was so much craziness around a potential recruit. I think it underscores the importance of the position. Having an elite receiver may be all it takes to get us over the top next year. If he's as good as people say, he will be that outside target to open up the ground and pound even more.

Ok, been out of the recruiting circles for a while...but why is everyone so excited about this kid? I'm not saying he's not going to be great, but just don't see the hype right now. He's not highly ranked (I know, I know, the "gurus" don't always get it right), but just because a couple of posters think he's amazing, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. His highlight films really aren't that impressive.....What am I missing?

There are highlight videos of him in action that can best answer that.

Read my post again. I've already seen those. They don't really look much better than O. Hines or F. Hammond's film coming out of high school. Definitely not better than A. Debose.

He's a quality receiver (rated 5th best in the nation by Rivals) He fills a big need.

You're missing how to judge for yourself.
You really don't see how good he is on your own? He's big, fast and he can catch..... What more do you want?
And finally, if the coaches want him so do I.

In addition to being big, fast and silky-smooth, he's much more polished than any of those you listed. And basically he abused the best corners in the nation this past week.
I do agree with you that Debose had the most electrifying video of any highschool player I've seen, including Percy Harvin. But he is what he is now.

"He's big, fast and he can catch." Wow. Man I really want him. He must be an AJ Green type.
What do I want? I just wanted some justification on the hype. There are no drop your jaw, Julio Jones, AJ Green, type plays. Not saying he has to have a full tape of plays like those guys, but not even one play. The tapes really aren't that superior to some of our other commits.
I just feel like people need to calm it down on this kid. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even play much next year. Go ahead and save my post.
