Wonder who will play at LB.
I think Taylor and Morrison starts at 2 LB spots.
Wonder if the coaches will move RoPo or Fowler to another position. We need them on the field at the same time.

Come August, I think Jenkins and Reed will be wishing they had stayed in school for their final season.

I think both will make their teams, provided they are not drafted by a team that has a log jam at their positions.
Jenkins has the better chance of sticking with it for a few years because of his coverage abilities and all around toughness and intelligence. If Will Hill could get his act straightened out and make it, than what does it say for a very mature Jelani? Reed has to either be drafted by a team that doesn't require their TE's to block or learn very quickly. I hate to bring up Egnew again, but being a big target doesn't get you on the field for most teams if you don't know how to block.

You're a Debbie Downer....
Great programs lose kids to the draft. We aren't an exception. The depth we have everywhere on the defense is very good though.

CBS Sportsline projects him as a 3rd round pick. The good thing about Jenkins is that it's not hard to replace 27 tackles.......

I like Jelani and wish him the best.
But did he even graduate? Is he projected to even get drafted? Or is he banking on impressing nfl teams as an undrafted free agent in camp?
Eta: 3rd round projection?!? lol, no

Dang. It's no just that I'll miss him on next year's defense, he could really, really use another year of learning and filling out. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see him succeeding in the NFL right now.

Amazing that I have to repeat this....but here we go again.
Show me a program that keeps all of its juniors and competes at a high level.
Great talent doesn't stay four years, so what would you prefer? Less talent?

It's also good because we now have upper class-men good enough to at least think they're ready for the NFL. I don't remember many early entries in 2010 and 2011.

None in 2011. I think Will Hill was the only one in 2010.
This is why you recruit, folks.

Who do you believe?
Pat Dooley @pat_dooley
Jelani Jenkins leaving early. Decent chance he won't be drafted. NFL told him not in first three rounds. Easley told coaches he will stay
Pat Dooley @pat_dooley
Interesting that Jordan Reed left after being benched in the SBowl for his attitude. There were several upperclassmen who tanked it I'm told
Thomas Goldkamp @Goldkamp247
For what it's worth, Jordan Reed was icing his knee on the sidelines and told me in locker room after game he couldn't do much on it.
Thomas Goldkamp @Goldkamp247
@AlligatorArmy - His former QB coach also said he had been dealing with that knee injury for weeks.
