The defense should be weaker with all the juniors leaving so the offense has got to be better.

We just haven't had the players on offense period. When was the last time we had an early entry from the offense before Reed this year? For that matter when was the last time we had an offensive player other than a lineman even drafted except for Rainey? I'm probably forgetting someone but he's the only one I remember from the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Good point. The regression began in 2009 on the offensive line (in terms of performance, not necessarily talent) and we never replaced any of our skill position players as they left. We signed some talent, but they either left or never developed.

Agree, and it won't be a stretch to get there.

We'll be tougher up front with the two transfers and the maturation of our returning players. It takes awhile to transition from a completely different offense and we'll see progress in year 2 of Pease's offense.

I'm impressed with the skill position talent that is coming in, especially the one EE. He'll have a chance in the Spring to make a mark.

The biggest things here are:

1. O-line pulling together to become an elite unit. This is critical and makes the RB position likely a slam dunk.

2. The frosh and 2nd year WRs emerging. Without this, we're going to be hard-pressed to replace the scant WR talent we had this year.

3. Driskel's maturation. He won't need to get *much* better if given #1 and #2.
