I'm pretty sure Adams will be interviewed after the UGALY visit, Then again, he may shutdown the interview process this close to signing day.

Boy by the comments and random projections we can truly see that signing day is close at hand. I hope we close strong on NSD but if we don't get another commit we will have a special class anyway

based on nothing but gut feeling, I'll say Adams is the silent commit zach is talking about in his mailbag. I know 'silent commits' are usually a joke but what they hell

Are you aware of any silent commits UF may have? — Tamayo, Trey, Hunter
I’ve been told by multiple sources of one prospect who has given the Gators his verbal privately, but I cannot name who it is. The only hint I’ll give is that he plays on the defensive side of the ball.

"New week, same answer. UF has recruited Adams hard (if not the hardest) this month and got him on campus for an official visit, but the consensus has been and still is that it’s a battle between Clemson and Georgia."
That was Abolverdi's response to questions regarding Adams. I doubt he's a "silent". I still believe there is an outside shot at us landing Adams, but I wouldn't expect him to be a part of this class.
I don't pay attention to "silent" commitments. Usually they're a bunch of nonsense, and they generate interest more than actually having any validity.

Look at his list of signees and it's pretty clear that Ramsey is the guy Zack thinks is the secret silent.

^I believe the consensus is that Zach is referring to Jalen Ramsey.

I could deal with that !
Jaynard Bostwick 6'4" 291 4*
Montravius Adams 6'3" 290 5*
40 times not listed; number of stars is someone's (not necessarily UF coaching staff) opinion of skills, attitude, etc.
Thing that I question - Adams' level of competition - Dooley county, IMO, not the equal of South West Fl.
We often use the phrase "a man among boys", which I take to mean that the player's physical development came earlier than the other HS athletes he is competing with.
When you compare the two populations, I prefer Bostwick & what I perceive as his greater level of competition.
Of course, statistics can be misleading - there was this half as**ed RB from Wrightsville, Georgia, Herschel something or other who turned out OK
Port St. Lucie - Population: 166,149 (2011)
Dooley County - Population: 14,587 (2011)
Port St. Lucie forms part of a metropolitan area called the Port St. Lucie, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area that in 2009 was estimated to have 406,296 residents.

Lets just sign Bostwick and be done with it. Maybe Reed too!

Competition level is definitely different in a rural town than a metropolitan, within that town, but if he plays teams from bigger cities and dominates them, and that team picks the best among their city, then that should mean he's got some talent.
Be nice to see Bostwick, Ramsey, Reed, Swanson, Clark finish this class out...

I've seen Adams' 40 time listed somewhere. Don't remember what it was, but it made me think of him as more of a pocket crushing one-technique type who had some agility. No 40 times on Bostwick, but he's fast enough for some services to list him as SSDE prospect. Not as concerned about boosting our ranking as filling out this class wth an athletic DT is probably our biggest need. (Brantley runs a blistering 5.2). Ramsey will give us style points so that when we sign a 3 star, immediate contributor like Reed, we could still end up with the top ranked class, whatever that is worth.
I still believe the only recruiting competition we're in is with Bama to see who gets the most/best linemen and LBs. We have all the other ingredients moving up through our system. We just need to catch up with them on the OL and the defensive front seven.

Well Zach didn't have Adams as part of his Mock, but did have Ramsey if that's a clue.

The silent can be 1 of only 3 recruits according to Zach's last mock class, Ramsey, Bostwick or Powell, the only 3 not currently commited.

If we finish with THAT, this board is going to crash on signing day. Florida has a somewhat decent shot at every one of those prospects. Hopefully Bostwick makes it to Gainesville this weekend. That'll be huge.

With that group to close with, I'd be happy, but getting RN and MA would crash the board for sure. I know.........dream on.
