This is what always puzzles me. Not knocking him but how is he still a Gator when he's transferring? He's choosing not to be a Gator anymore.

So the question is: is he off to WVU?

According to some, you can be a Gator without ever attending the university.

He doesn't think he is going to play. He's gotta do what's best for him in the end. He wanted it to work out at UF. That's good enough for me. He's a Gator until he beats us.

I think WVU would be a great fit. Quick passing game. He doesn't really need mobility and he is already good at moving around in the pocket. He would put up big numbers.

Other than WVU, what are the other possibilities? Any SEC team needing a QB? Or he will be barred from transferring to an SEC school?

I'm OK with that. A degree, IMO, doesn't make you more of a Gator fan. I just happen to have one though

If UF is your dream school and you got denied admission, then sure, you can be a Gator.
I have two degrees from UF, btw, so it's not like that is a self-serving opinion.

Ok, but if he ever beats us I'm throwing rocks at him

What about Miami. He could redshirt and sit behind Morris this year and would have 2 years left.

Kansas is an option as well. Weis did recruit him after all.

Honestly, I don't think there is some set of objective criteria you can apply across all situations to determine who is a Gator and who isn't.
Brock Berlin, he doesn't feel like much of a Gator after that epic comeback against us (blech). Despite never facing us, Newton doesn't feel like a Gator, because he had a huge impact at another school and his brand will forever be associated with AU.
Janoris Jenkins feels like a Gator because he toiled in obscurity between getting booted from UF and being drafted. If Brissett becomes a household name at another school, he might not feel like a Gator anymore. But at this point, I consider him one. I certainly understand if others don't.

His mom wanted him to go to Miami. I guess mom is telling him, "I told you so son".

This could very well work out great for us, because Mornhinweg is a real talent. His 2011 high school film shows him doing all the things we need right now.
I hope he is allowed to compete with Jeff for starter in the spring.

That he is going to light it up for some other school (hopefully not an SEC team or rival) and Driskell will not develop the way some people think he can.
Hope I am wrong.

I would think they'd keep him from being able to go to the SEC or instate.

No offense to Driskel, but I have seen enough of him and I think he will not be good. I want to see Morninweg get a shot...maybe he can read defenses better than Jeff. Murphy is good for the scout team.

I still believe in Driskel but he definitely has an issue right now between the ears.

I have no problem with Jeff being a starter I think we can win with Mornhingweg in a few years but I think that delivery needs some adjusting
