Is this a real story? Sorry I am not sure what to trust anymore.. Are people real or fake? Is JB going to NCSt or not? Does Matt Elam like JD or JB better? I may take tomorrow off.

Didn't see the story, but that's kind of what I was getting at, heard rumors, but nothing concrete. I would like to see the article.

JB is transferring to NC State. Matt Elam and JB are good friends, and Elam supports his friend Brissett.
The rest is conjecture or making something out of nothing

This is disappointing to say the least. Football is the ultimate team sport and any division doesn't bode well for teams with MNC aspirations.
Stay classy, Matt. You were my favorite player during your tenure and wish you the best in the NFL.

He definitely threw him under the bus. You don't make comments like that when Jeff was a fellow teammate. You have an issue with who they picked, you go to the coaches. Don't hide behind twitter!

Maybe he did go to the coaches and held his tongue until the season was over, in any case he's really no longer on the team and is free to say whatever he wants.

Exactly. He won the freaking Heisman that year. Nobody was calling for a Heisman winning QB's job.

Really there are only three times the detractors have been held largely at bay: Danny in 1996, Rex in 2001 and Tim in 2007.

I wondered why we didn't see jacoby in the Sugar Bowl game when it became apparent that we really needed to throw the ball. (and I perceive him as being better at that than Driskel).
Looks like the staff may have been done with him already.
Time to move on.

I don't think we've really seen anything that would show he's better at throwing the ball.

There have been knowledgable posters posting this all year, and it's 100% accurate: who the option is for your team to win at QB is NOT necessarily based strictly on performance in practice. Driskel started because our OL was horrid at times, and we needed a mobile QB. Bottom line. If we had a great, pass blocking OL and great, route-running WRs, Brissett would have started, IMO.
But it doesn't matter now.....

I think that "bottom line" is another chapter in Gator Mythology.

He was never going to play in that game unless Jeff got hurt. Most coaches are not like SOS.

Sure it looks that way but you don't understand QBs at Florida get backed to the hilt even if it means throwing their O-lines or WRs under the bus much less a safety. It seems weird but its the only thing that explains the way some people backed Brantley and defend JD from any and all criticism.

If true, it's great that he is leaving, but I don't really buy it. Maybe one players twisted take? Whenever they showed Brissett on the sideline, he wasn't sulking and seemed very supportive of the team and Jeff. I definitely remember him celebrating after wins this year, and highly doubt Muschamp would have put up with the alleged bad attitude the entire season.

That is what I remember as well, whcih is why I am looking for sources for these quotes. If Jacoby really was a divisive factor in the locker room, then he deserves the heat for it, but if not, we should just be wishing him well at NC State.

Rivals is doing a piece with an anonymous departing player, giving his opinion on the players that left early for the draft, the graduating seniors, the players who transferred, and I believe the true freshman (the one that will be released today, they release one a day). His thoughts on Jessamen Dunker seemed to be spot on, considering yesterdays news.
Seems like some posters on here ought to feel pretty ignorant with some of the garbage I read with regards to the QB situation the last few weeks.

Signing 2 bluechip qb's in one class will almost always end up with one finishing school somewere else. That's innevitable, and worth it.
Signing 2 bluechip qb's of different races in the same cycle often results in one transferring, and a divided team. It's unneccessary. I wouldn't do it. Happened at FSU multiple times and now here it seems.
