Did he play FB at the camps or otherwise work out for the coaches at that position?

He is not going to be running the ball. I just like his athleticism for his body type plus he plays hard.

If we finish with just Jarran is our D class a home run or do we need a Jarran and say Elijah to finish where we need to be?

FBs earn their money blocking. Can he do that?

I think he has the skill set to. I also think he has the "want to", that high school team he is on plays hard.

DT Caleb Brantley, DT Darious Cummings
DT/DE Joey Ivie, DT/DE Antonio Riles
DE Jordan Sherit
That's pretty solid by itself, but adding Reed would give us a replacement for Floyd, imho. Reed has size and strength, would see time early and often. I know people like 4 year players, but our best DT is gone, and until NSD is over, his spot is unfilled. I know we have some options to fall back on in-house, but to me, having Jarran Reed and Damien Jacobs is a better gap between all the fresh DT's Champ got last year and what he pull in this year.
I know when we were recruiting Anzalone, it was said that we were recruiting him for Buck, also recently heard that again. And also, same goes for Sherit when we were recruiting him. I don't know who they will get to play Buck out of this class, seems like there's a few candidates already in the fold... But if we were handing out scholly's based on talent for the Buck position, then I think (if his grades are good) Elijah Daniel gets one. I feel Daniel is the best option for Buck at this point. Worse case scenario, he gains more weight and becomes a DE... Still going to be a scary, just at DE. (Besides, Fowler has the Buck locked up for the next 2 years.)
I know 8 sounds like A LOT for this years DL class, considering last years huge haul, but I think that's a pretty realistic number. I know we will take another DE and I know we will take another DT, whether or not we take anymore, I dunno, but I can see the 8th member being a big one (as in a DT).

I will say it again: I predict Robert to sign with the good guys. I'm not an insider nor have any knowledge about recruiting. But based on what I read between Robert and UF commits, I think we get him. Now I hear he is making an official visit this weekend.

This staff is really amazing. Now they may not close as well as we hope but they sure are trying and putting themselves in position to make us proud. I'm just really impressed. I would love to be in on their planning and strategy sessions.

If we steal him away from Ole Miss. I'll be as elated as anyone here. This would be the biggest story of the recruiting season......for sure.

You're right he'll probably end-up with his brother, but I'm sure you'd get over it if you lost this (no money) bet.
By the way, I'm not betting anything on this - I don't bet.

You know darn well you'd be as happy as I would be if he came here, regardless of some silly bet.

Ooop...I'm pretty sure that's enough to make the NCAA Clearinghouse flag his math scores.

Daniel. Because he is still an option and we have not moved on from him... Muschamp is planning an in home and he is still visiting, per E. Daniel.
Unless you have insider info stating he is no longer an option, get out.
Some people post things before they are true, to be the first. Spivey said this info is definitely NOT confirmed.

I posted that I read it, so blame me. I read it on a board posted by a source who is usually spot on with his info.

Thanks for the info. Still though. I have faith in Spivey and don't usually believe the other mumbo jumbo until he says its true. There have been times when others report things and they end up not being true and Spivey said that he didn't get confirmation. There have also been other times where he confirms the reports of others. That's why I trust Spivey, he waits until something is definite before throwing something out there. Right now, there is still no confirmation from UF (or Elijah Daniel for that matter) and all indication is Muschamp is visiting him this week and he is still planning his OV. It may change, but it hasn't yet.

I would be seriously bummed if we couldn't get Daniel. One of he or Walker were needed to solidify end for the next couple of years along with Bullard and Fowler. We can always fill the gap next year, but that means a true freshman might have to contribute immediately to round out the position and that always makes me a little clammy.
Hopefully if it is true, maybe we can get Daniel into a prep school and bring him back on board next year. The kid is good.
