I've been saying this every game. He is going to do well in the NFL. He's a playmaker...

It's hard to believe. But I guess our passing game has never been sophisticated enough to really utilize the wide outs enough. The last three years most games saw a rb or te lead the team in receptions.

It was a bigtime failure. Come hell or high water, we desperately needed to get him more touches.

I feel bad for Hines. A wasted college career. He needed to touch the ball 4-5 times each drive.

I agree. Hines is a beast & could've been a lot more productive if utilized. He's one that has slipped through the cracks.

While I agree that he is an excellent player and I wish we could have gotten him more touches, the problem is that his touches had to come from a unique set of plays. He is not the type of WR that you line up on the outside and run pro-style routes, he's not a RB who sets up in the I and pounds the line, and he's not a traditional TE who can be on the line for every snap. He can play all those positions, but in a limited role. His touches came on reverses, screens, swing passes, etc. and those plays can only be run so many times a game. I honestly think he would have thrived in Meyer's offense (good Meyer, not bad Meyer) since it is predicated on getting the ball to his playmakers in space.

I hope some pro team makes him their version of Aaron Hernandez.
Good luck Omarius Hines.

This kid could have been so good. He never went down on the first contact and most times not even on the second contact.

I've been watching Gator football for over fifty years and Hines was vastly under utilized. He's big, strong anf fast and always gained yards...he could have been the so called"Big" back we've been looking for. What a waste of talent and desire!

I hope that the Buc's pick him up and use him as a H-back/slot guy, like the pat's use hernandez. Kid was dynamite when he touched the ball. Head scratcher

I think having four different offensive coordinators did not help either.

Exactly. Both coaching staffs always raved about his work ethic and practice production but they then failed to translate it to the games.

If you look at his fumble per touch, coaches lost confidence in him. But he will be another David Nelson...NFL starter, barely used at UF.
He should of had 100+ catches and 100+ rushes on top of his STeams play. Hope a FL team drafts him in the 6th or 7th round.

Utterly beyond my comprehension also.
