like what little thing do you do that makes you feel smug. for me it's that i always return shopping carts to the little cart corral instead of leaving in the parking lot. i really get a sense of superiority because of it

Hey Stro...I often bring a cart in from the parking lot when going to the grocery store and then try to carry all of the stuff in my arms back to the car. if not, return the cart to the store front. Don't know if I am being nice or stalling for extra time to check out wimmins.

Not me, I leave the cart where it is. That's how I get my sense of superiority, they pay for people to bring the carts in. So what if I have to pay extra for hamburger and beer, dammit I'm worth it
Anstro, what do you think

I am the guy who can always pick out the cart that has at least one wheel that is out of round. The thing that pisses me off is that the cart does not start chattering until I am we'll away from where I selected the cart. When my wife grabs the cart there are no issues.

Knights you are helping the economy- by leaving the cart in the lot, not in the cart slot, it takes longer to collect thus keeping more baggers and stockers employed - think of it as a public service

My shopping cart story:
In high school my Mom sent me out in the freezing December cold to Kroger's with a long list of items for her Christmas dinner. The lines were long, overweight people clogged the aisles, I had to three times point out to the stoned imbecile working at the deli which Turkey I wanted, and that hideous Christmas song Old Lang Syn by Folgelberg played through the store twice.
After finishing packing the trunk I decided to be a nice guy and grab another loose cart that was one my way back to cart stable. Close enough to this extra cart, I noticed something in the lower part - a perfectly sealed, mint condition Honey Glazed Ham! I looked around for another moment to see if anyone was around that might've left it, but no, and having worked groceries before, I knew the store had policies against taking back food found in the lot.
I waited for my Mom to discover it when she helped me unload the car, and told her it was a giveaway for being the thousandth customer that day.
I didn't know my Mom was one friendly terms with one of the two store managers, and the next time her and I were in the store, she made a point to thank him for the "Christmas Ham Giveaway" when she saw him. He looked at her dumbfounded, thinking for a minute, until he said, "Why you're welcome!"
Reflecting on it several years later, I think he was concluding that the deli stoner had given it away.
Anstro, have you ever taken home food you "found."
