Many posters here would have left college with a yr to go for a milion bucks, even if they "may" have improved that to 2 million, eventhough ZERO was a possibility.
No brainer, IMO.
I think some college football fans feel like they got dumped when a player declares as a Jr.

He won't be making a million bucks though. Congrats to him, he had good athleticism, but honestly he gave very poor effort in blocking. Still our lone receiving.threat will be missed

I don't begrudge anyone leaving after giving 3 (or in Jordan's case 4 years) to the program. He has to be within a semester or two of graduation, or at least he should after 4 academic years.
Now, in my humble opinion, Reed would have only benefited from another year of development that he won't get in the NFL.
It's hard to improve when you spend the year on the inactive list or practice squad, like Reed may very well do.
Ask Michael Egnew how productive his first year in the NFL was?

Any team willing to draft him better be ready to give up about 50 yds/game in false starts, too.
Classic example of someone too impatient to learn his craft. Maybe Jevan Snead can give him a call about what happens when you leave college before you're ready.

Maybe he's leaving because we don't have anybody that can throw the ball to him.

Congrats to all 3 for getting a chance to realize their dreams. I'll be pulling for them in the NFL. Once a Gator, always a Gator.

Same stuff on Reed that was posted on earlier threads. I think a few folks will be surprised by how high he is drafted.
Leading receiver, but was still under utilized imo. Not a Hernandez, but doesn't need to be to be successful. For some reason he seemed to be MIA in the sugar bowl game plan. Best of luck to him.

It would help if he would learn to block and have discipline at the line of scrimmage. His weakness as a receiver have been brought up as well.
Michael Egnew had twice the receptions that Jordan had and was taken in the third round. The idiot known as Jeff Ireland didn't scout the guy enough to know that he could not block.
He spent 14 games on the inactive list (wasn't hurt) and is going to be fighting to stay on the roster in training camp. Sherman told him in front of the team (on Hard Knocks) that he would cut him if he had the authority to do so.
If I was him, I would have spent another season working on my craft without the threat and pressure of being fired early into my career.

Without these 3 guys we're 8-4 at best, not 11-1.
Good greif, what do these kids owe you fans?
Just be thankful they busted their asses for your enjoyment and (all 3) get to make great money in the NFL next yr.

Floyd and Elam deserved to leave and should, the risk of them getting hurt outweighs their draft potential, not to mention mentally they are ready.
Like you said I've been wrong before but Reed's problems are all mental not physical. Wish the kid all the luck but the neither of the coaches agreed with this move and neither do I. Having said that, kid gets his head on straight and he will do ok.

Hopefully he's been advised appropriately. Clint Mitchell & Dee Webb are the two that I recall leaving early that were total head scratchers....

I think he has the chance to be a good receiving TE in the NFL, but I do think he needs to work on his blocking. He seemed a lot more at home when line up at a receiver position.
Best wishes to him.

Good luck in the NFL, Jordan! Your time at Florida has been a bit of a roller coaster after nearly becoming our QB a few years ago. Here's to watching you develop at the next level.

did he ever play special teams as a Gator?
He'll need to in the NFL, at least until he establishes himself
