The Louisville players probably come from the same "social culture" as our players. Many came from the same high schools. Yet they were in control, disciplined, and didn't have a lot of stupid penalties. I could understand if they did gloat a little- since no one gave them a chance and they made the #3 team in the USA look like a MAC team- but they didn't.
No- it goes back to coaches expectations and leadership. The coach sets the rules and expectations, and the players will follow, or they won't be on the team any longer.
One more thing- if we had the discipline that Louisville had we'd probably be undefeated this year. Or at least we'd have won the 2 we lost. We were out of control and very undisciplined vs UGA and Louisville, and lost both games.
I know some like to see us gloat, and the players obviously love to trashtalk and play undisciplined, but I'd rather see us stay humble and win another MNC.
Again- Champ should give a call to Charlie Strong this offseason and get some tips on bowl motivation and discipline. Because he could learn a thing or 2.

But so is the trash talking. . . especially when getting your ass handed to you by a nearly unranked team that tied for its conference championship in one of the worst conferences in the USA.
Worst of all, it reminds me of F$U and Miami and it's embarrassing. It certainly has nothing to do with one's ability to win as I don't see Alabama players doing this nearly as often as ours. Or, maybe I just dont' watch enough of Alabama.

They have played like that all year. They have been a team all year. My favorite part of this years team is how much of a team they have been. It was not a me first attitude, people want to try and make it seems that way but that is not why they lost the game.

For me, I'd rather our team leave out the trash talking, boasting antics and just concentrate on playing at their best. I would laugh at sow and scum for doing the same thing, they'd showboat after a big hit and yet the scoreboard made them look like fools.
