Get over it!
I'm like every other Gator fan ...very disappointed in our poor showing but I've seen worse in my fifty plus years watching Gator football. We were out coached & outplayed by a team with everything to gain and nothing to lose (a bad combination for us). That said, WM has done a very good ob and the team will continue to get better and that's where Gator fans need to focus...supporting the staff and players is param ount in building the prgogam! GO GATORS!

did sting! was a bit nauseating i was hoping there was a 'reset' button, but alas it wasn't a video game....
very humbling too. sometimes that's good for the ole character. instructive. teaches you not to be so mouthy when things are good and/or not so deriding of rivals and their misery.
you know in my younger days, might take me a week or longer to get over that loss. i know i would be depressed for weeks sometimes after losses to the hated dawgs back in the 70's 80's. now, i guess it helps to be older. plus having some crystal under the belt helps alot. and i realize , at my age, it seems seasons come and go in a near blur. there's alot of other gators sports, too, to keep me occupied.

Totally agree.
We came in flat and lost but this was still an amazing season for us, and against the NCAA's and ESPN's toughest strength of schedule too.
I'm not going to let a poor bowl perforamnce ruin a great season for me.

We got ran. It happens. It sucks and hurts. We should have played better. But it happens. Very, very good season with some huge wins.
FBS College football is the only sport that has a monthlong layoff from regular season to post season. It's silly and is not a true indication of a team often times in the bowls. Makes little sense really.
That being said, it cuts both ways. The year we beat Ohio State for marbles, we weren't that much better than them. If we had played them in the flow of the season, they may have been the better team. They had something like 6 weeks off between their last game and the BCS national title game. That's almost like playing a season opener again.

You school-marms who are keen on monitoring reactions to the debacle need to get over it. Take a break from the board if we frustrate you.

I still say that it was not that important of a game. It was maybe the 5th most important game this year with LSU, USC, UGA, and F$U all being more important to the program this year. Winning any of those 3 games was more imprtant than the Sugar Bowl (win or lose). Plus, winning those 3 shows more to the state of the program than does losing the bowl game.

You can't just get over something like that...opposing fans will rub this loss in our faces for years to come...SEC haters will use it as ammunition every time they attack the conference....all the sunshine pumpers can pretend it didn't happen but the fact remains that it was a monumental embarrassment and it could take 5+ years before we could truly say that we are over it....and to top it all off...our players acted like a bunch of juvenile thugs out there and really gave a black eye to the Univeristy and its athletic program.

Well played sir. Well played.
It is perfectly realistic and understandable to be smarting over this loss.
That being said, I am beginning to heal. The future looks bright. I just really would have loved to finish in the top 3 this year and had a sweet Sugar Bowl win.

95 Nebraska was hard to get over, this not so much. There are 4 football games that I remember vividly, where I watched, who I was with, and what I did after them. The 1996 Sugar bowl, 2006 and 2008 MNC games, and the 95 Nebraska game. Frazier is still running through our D. This loss is meaningless compared to that beating lol.

Same applies to you. The 2012 season is over and the focus is now on 2013. How much change is being made with raanting days after the loss. I can promise you that it will not change the outcome of the Sugar Bowl.
Negativity benefits no one. JMO..

To me it was more than just a game and not speaking for anyone else but me THAT game concerns me. I have more questions than answers. Why were we so unprepared? Why were we so slow making adjustments esp. on D? Why do we still have a pattern of playing down to our competition as UL was a major underdog? This time it bit us in the arse. Why are some players allowed to keep showboating and yaking it up when it's obvious the D couldn't stop UL? Why is it after 12 games we still can't figure out how to pass or how to beat 8 man fronts? Why do senseless penalties continue? Why do we still play undisciplined? Are we really as good as our record indicates? Signiture wins, Texas A&M (they'd kill us now, we played them when Johnny Football was raw), LSU one word Mettenburger, USCE we played well and they blundered, Sow really sows a great team??? Why was it that we struggled with most of our "cupcake" teams?
To me this was not just a game or an isolated game. This team still imo has real issues. In a way this game was a snapshot of the season except that during the season we managed to win with better or equal talent.

The only opposing fans who can talk smack to us this off-season are UGA and UL fans.
The rest were Gator bait.
