Burn the blue tops with orange pants
From opening warmups I had bad memories of 2 staright losses to fsu in those dreadful unis. If we never wear them again it will be too soon.

While the color of the unis have zero impact on the game....I agree.

There wasn't a color combination on earth that could have saved us yesterday.

Go on then, enlighten me.
I've largely stayed out of the "uniform debate" threads because for a long time, I couldn't tell if they were serious or not. I used to chuckle when I read them but lately I've started to hold off laughing at them a little because, frankly, I was a starting to become concerned that people actually believed it affected performance, be it superstitiously or not.
If it's superstition, fair enough. I get that.
If it's because people believe there's a factual basis to it, I'm a bit perplexed. I coach 9/10 year olds "soccer" and yes, they have a "favourite" kit out of the 3 that are in the PE cupboard to play in but after a few games, the more vocal amongst the group start telling those who are bothered what they look like to get down the hairdressers. These are normal 9 and 10 year old kids, self-regulating their view on football strips.
If the current Gator players are in any way less inclined to perform because of a strip combination, well, I'm happy for Will Muschamp to pay for my team to come and talk to the athletes and give them some honest feedback, because I can't see any way it should impact performance.
And yet, the number of uniform threads that come up... wow!
So go on, are the majority of you just having a laugh? If so, I'll feel a lot better. If not and you honestly believe the players are being affected, the offer of a team talk still stands...

Our colors for nearly a Century have been Orange and Blue. So we should now dump them and not proudly show them? You would prefer we adopt the Red and Black of the Georgia Bulldogs? Or how about those Mustard and Catsup colors of FSU? They always look great, right? Good grief!

I didn't say we lost because of the unis at all. Just that every time we wear them we lose. So they bring back bad memories. Good god you people need to relax.
Btw, blue and white jerseys and pants with orange helmets is still O&B, ray.

I am relaxed. Our colors are Orange and Blue. And whatever color combinations of them our coaches and players want in a game will always be OK with me.

Ray, I think 7-5 was referring to the "popsicle" combination of orange pants & blue jerseys last night, not the colors themselves. I agree the combo we wore last night is hideous !!!

You say people need to relax when you start a thread advocating that if you never see a certain colour uniform again it will "be too soon", right?
What was the purpose of the thread not to invite some discussion?

I liked them. So please don't burn them.
That being said I do like all our color combinations.

Thanks. I didn't think this thread would be that hard to comprehend. It's a bad combo with a bad history.
Guess I need to clarify for some that I in no way think the dye in the fabric made the players play poorly.

Burn the blue tops with orange pants

LoL, tops? I thought it was a pretty bad outfit last night, but dont throw out the baby with the bath water by burning our traditional blue blouses. Its the orange leggings that got to go.

it has nothing to do with the game, but as soon as I saw the color combo, I told my brother we were done, zero chance to win. Same thing when I saw the "new F" helmets in the SECCG. Just ugly.
