Its all, QB, WR and OL. But it starts up front. I will not miss the SRs and Jrs on this Oline EVER. And this business off the OLine halfway standing up on pass plays needed to go 2 years ago. Get in a 3 pt stance and stay there dammit.
But Im really glad it took opposing DCs all season to figure out that the D cant pass rush or cover receivers at all. The CBs are too short. Not really impressed with J. Watkins at safety. Lets hope the freshman DE and incoming CB/S will change this problem.

The WRs have to get open before Driskel can pass it to them. If Driskel had Louisville's WRs last night then UF wins.
Fortunately help is on the way in the WR dept and the OL dept. Driskel was putting too much heat on some of his passes. As he gets confidence in his OL he should panic less. If Nixon was protecting my blindside while I wait for subpar WRs to get open I would be nervous too.
The new OLs we are bringing in and a bulked up Humphries at LT giving him better blind side protection will help calm Driskel.

I think that was a play where either Nixon or Joyer (they both missed several) whiffed on a block. A buddy of mine said the same thing, but I thought there was someone in Driskel's face so I rewound the cable feed & the defender was right there. That said, I agree that Driskel does have his limitations in the pocket & reading defenses, hopefully experience will lead to an improvement.

So what is the projected OL next year? Nixon and Wilson are gone, meanwhile Harrison, Halapio, and Green are still here correct?
What positions do they new guys play? (Brown, Garcia, and Moore)
Anyone smarter than me care to take a stab at the projected depth chart?

Moore and Garcia have a good chance to start from day one, IMHO.

I have been very hard on Driskel all year, rightfully so IMO. But I also think not having an adequate WR coach was a mistake as well. I'm hoping to see some huge improvements in the passing game with Joker on board.

Four areas for improvement include OLine run and pass blocking. WR route running. QB play, ie., establishing a feel for the game and not being so robotic. And discipline on defense. Way too many penalties and personal celebrations in a game where they got their arses handed to them.

Garcia should probably replace Wilson which will be a huge upgrade but he could play tackle if needed.
It was always thought that Moore would challenge Green for the right tackle spot but he has been solid all year don't know why you he would lose his job.
Harrison is going to start at center.
Maybe the staff will have 3 way battle for let tackle with Brown Humphries and Moore.
Wouldn't mind Moore battling Halipio for the right guard position.
Whatever the lineup is it will be better than this year and much deeper.

I'm excited to see Humphries out there. He's big, quick and plays with a nasty attitude. Brown is just massive! I watched a little film on him but it was hard to tell because he was so much bigger than everyone else.
Question: is Brown projected at LT?

Give me...LT-Humphries/Brown.. LG-Garcia C-Harrison RG-Dunker RT-Moore/Brown/Green
I cannot bare to watch Halapio whif on blocks and run right by an opposing defender for another year.

He's supposedly one of the best linemen. I love the lineup though especially with the backs we have. I expect KT to have a Yeldon type year.

I love how people are so quick to throw 8 to 10 guys under the bus just to avoid recognizing the weakness we have at QB, I mean sure that mediocre line was good enough to help Gilly to 1000+ yards despite facing 8 and 9 man fronts all year since no one is scared of our passing game, and sure home, away and neutral announcers all note wide open guys in the secondary who Driskel ignores, but hey its all on the WRs and the OL.

The OLine played last night? Someone should tell Driskel. Doubt if he noticed it after running for his life all night.

How long do you think Driskel would have lasted in Spurrier's system?

I don't think so. Louisville's receivers made some nice catches, but that was made possible largely by Bridgewater's willingness to throw to a spot, and ability to throw through tight windows to get to the open man behind it.
Aside from the UT game I haven't seen Driskel do either with any consistency. If we had Louisville's WR we still would have run into serious passing problems because Driskel only looks comfortable throwing to relatively stationary wideouts without defenders near them, and wasn't making checkdowns to find the other receivers who were open. We could have had the Detroit Lions' receivers last night and I wouldn't feel great about our passing game.

First, JD has a way to go in knowing where to go with the ball. But let's be honest, out OL can't run block or pass block worth crap. Period. We had zilch running game. We were forced to pass PREDICTABLE cause were down big time most of the game. They pinned their ears back and no JD didn't have lots of time. Strong game planned to perfection.
We either need better blockers or a better OL coach because our OL has been a problem for most of the year. Lest some forget our D won us a ton of games. Again, if it was just the qb, then JB also has trouble throwing as well. And since his name has been mentioned, Nixon well I'm not saying another word, biting tongue.
