Folks,
As a way to help kick off the New Year for us at Gator Country, I'm opening up our new home page so you can see what it'll look like. We're still tweaking it and adding things but it looks pretty good as it is.
We do have some issues with some of the images not shrinking in file size like they're supposed to so it's slowing the site down a bit but this will be resolved and it will fly as it did in our initial tests so it will be quite a bit faster than the old GC home page.
The layout is also responsive, meaning it'll automatically resize and reconfigure to the size of your screen so it'll look decent on your iPads and mobile devices, etc although we're also going to have a mobile device specific look next for those who prefer that.
The carousel you see in the middle of the page will be for latest videos, etc. but for now it's just pulling in all stories.
Eventually we will integrate our login, forums, recruiting databases, etc. etc. into the new look. For now it's just for stories. Hope you like it and I'm open to any suggestions and feedback.
It's updated continuously with stories being posted to both the new and old site simultaneously.
