Just heard a rumor
There was apparently a conference called at 5:00 PM tonight by house republicans and Boehner will resign.

Don't blame him. Would you want to have to negotiate with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Obama? Shoot me. I'd rather play golf.

Very ineffective speaker, but there is probably no one left in the house with any gonads.

Seems unlikely as the NY/NJ Republicans just were given a promise of a vote on Sandy relief from the Speaker and stated their support for him continuing as speaker (of course this is after they absolutely unloaded on the Republican House leadership earlier in the day).

Good, at least there will be an alternative. With Obama and Boehner we had raise taxes and raise taxes.

Love to see a good in-fight as the Republicans fight the Tea Party for the soul of their party. It only can mean that the Republicans either get their house in order by getting rid of the Tea Party, or they fail to become a viable choice for many people. A Win-Win to me.

Who wouldn't want to play golf instead of negotiating? That is kind of like saying "I hate mowing the yard. I would rather be golfing."
