An observation...
Unless I missed a game (sorry), isn't the SEC East Division undefeated?
USCe 33 Mich 28
Vandy 38 NCSt 24
UGA 45 Neb 31
Florida vs Louisville tonight
And the Western Division winless?
Clemson 25 LSU 24
Northwestern 34 MSU 20
TA&M vs. OKLA Friday
Ole Miss vs. Pitt Saturday
Alabama vs. ND Monday
Ironic that the leader of the -so far- 'winless West' represents the conference in the National Championship game.

I could see MSU losing but LSU just blew it for us.

I can personally attest that ACC fans are crowing about this.

They are crowing about their second best team defeating our fourth or fifth best team by 1?

The last few years, the strength of the SEC has been in the West. This year the East has stepped it up a notch. Florida, Georgia, USCe...even Vandy all made strides. The West is still strong with Bama, LSU and aTm but I think things are swinging toward the East again.

Arky falling off the map really hurt the West.

The Chik Fil A Bowl is usually one of the closest bowl games of the season, usually coming down to the wire. With the 2nd best ACC team against the 5th best SEC team. That tells you all you need to know about the differences between the two conferences.

And sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread into an SEC>Acc thread. And I agree that the power in the SEC may just be shifting back to the East.

Auburn fell down a lot too. I don't think the East was down for that long since SC spanked AL a couple of years ago. I don't think UT will be down forever either even though I know little about their coach.
