Both teams barely beat Auburn so this shouldn't be that surprising.

Goes to show that you have to play the game and LSU didn't. Hard to get up for a game against Clemson. I see the same thing happening to us unless coach shows this game to the kids and says Louisville can do it to them too.

LSU played their guts out. So did Clemson. You won't find a better atmosphere all bowl season except maybe the NC game itself. The Peach bowl is outstanding every year because it matches the ACC versus the SEC rivalries and hate are what sells tickets.
90% of the other bowls suck.

You are really overestimating the importance of that win last night. I know the ACC is starved for decent wins, but one doesn't change that the conference is awful

Agreed.
Clemson won by one point... against the #4 SEC team... on a last second field goal... in a neutral venue... playing its best football of the season.
Maybe it means the ACC is off life support, but it doesn't mean the conference is brimming with vigor.

Prolly be a shoot out.
Uga will have to replace everybody on D except for maybe 2.But if Aaron Murray comes back that offense will be hard to stop. They do lose T. King on Offense. But have plenty of weapons.

UF is much different. We have a running game, LSU doesn't and that's what killed them against Clemson. It's why they had at least nine 3-and-outs (which kept their D on the field way too much and left them exhausted by the 4th quarter) and it's why Les rightly or wrongly felt forced to call for passes rather than runs in LSU's last possession.

The facts that their offense, defense, and special teams sucked didn't have anything to do with it? Clemson MADE them lose all of their SEC games?

But we missed you on the NC State - Vandy thread. You made one post early on when it looked like NC State might have a chance and then you disappeared.

No, Law and I already replied to you on this. My last post on that thread said Vandy was looking good and it would be a solid win for them. That was when Vandy was up enough that it was obvious they would win.
And total BS on over estimating this win.
First of all, find a post on this or any other thread within the last 4 years of mine on this or any other board with me saying the ACC is better than the SEC. Go ahead and try to cut and paste one like that. You won't find a single one.
I never even said this win means anything about how good, bad or ugly the ACC is. In fact, I repeatedly agreed that the ACC sucks even with this win.
That is pretty much universally agreed upon by everyone.
But regardless this is a big time gut it out win for Clemson. It means nothing in the big picture as far as conference strength, well, it helps a little, but that ship has sailed, it is over, the SEC dominates CFB, the only thing you can say is this will help Clemson recover from laying an egg against USCe for the fourth year in a row and as I said previously perhaps on another thread it will help with the polls next year with the 2 loss SEC teams staying ahead of 1 loss ACC/Big10/Big12 teams. You gotta win some of these games to change that.
Clemson earned this win the old fashioned way with freaking intestinal fortitude. Everytime the ACC wins you hear some BS excuse about how the SEC wasn't trying. BS!!! They tried and they got beat.

Underlined part is the real BS. This post contradicts itself.
We never said that the SEC wasn't trying, just that Miles is an idiot. Hill had only 12 carries, yet over 120 yards. Why on earth would you only give it to him 12 times? Clemson loses this game if Miles had an once of common sense.

Hill had 12 carries and 124 yards with 2 TDS.
I'd say they had a running game last night. The real tragedy is Miles only giving the ball to him 12 times. They would have beat Clemson into submission much like FSU did if they had just run the freaking ball. Clemson played their best football of the year, yet they only beat LSU in a down year by a point even with the ridiculous play-calling LSU was going with all night. ACC must really be starved for success if they think this is some earth shattering victory. I almost feel sorry for their fans

Said it in the other thread about this game.
Clemson has a great offense, and I thought their D played better last night than they've played all season.
FSU wouldn't have beaten this Clemson team now IMO.
LSU's Les Miles made the mistake of sitting on the lead, getting away from his bread and butter run-game, and relying way too much on their defense to win this game, and give Clemmons credit, they made them pay for it.
It was an exciting game IMO, but it definitely doesn't mean the ACC is suddenly on the SEC's level because LSU had a brain-fart game.
I think Clemson is the best team in the ACC right now btw.

It's the peach bowl.
Completely meaningless, no matter who won.

ACC 11 SEC 10 since 93 when the Peach went to ACC vs SEC format.
Sure, its meaningless.
That's why it always sells out and why this thread has 16 pages.
Now hopefully Nebraska, Northwestern and Michigan can get a few slices of shutty pie for new years also.

And often #2 acc vs #5 or #6 SEC team too. But who's counting?
