Tax Code May Be the Most Progressive Since 1979
Because the Marxist leftist progressive ideals being dumped on this country are all about "wealth envy" and "fairness"... and nothing about prosperity. Enjoy...
http://www.cnbc.com/id/100356579
With 2013 bringing tax increases on the incomes of a small sliver of the richest Americans, the country's top earners now face a heavier tax burden than at any time since Jimmy Carter was president.
The last-minute deal struck by the departing 112th Congress raised taxes on a handful of the highest-earning Americans, with about 99.3 percent of households experiencing no change in their income taxes. But the Tax Policy Center estimates that the average family in the top 1 percent will pay a federal tax rate of more than 36 percent this year, up from 28 percent in 2008. That is the highest rate since 1979, at least.

The wealthy have been extremely prosperous since 1980 while the rest haven't.
Take all the income=pay all the taxes

And of course, CLASS ENVY screams volumes in your predictable post.
You never let us down fred with your jealousy and envy of those who succeed as compared to the wannabes.

Exactly. Who do you think put Obama in office? It certainly wasn't the poor and middle class. They don't have the kind of scratch necessary to finance expensive presidential campaigns and buy up media with which to market politicians with.

If you are asking whether fred was being serious???---most definitely fred was serious. He constantly refers to those of wealth and success as being from the "guilded age" and never misses a chance to display his envy of those who succeed. ALWAYS a remark about how the wealthy takes everything and owes the rest of us as their wealth---since their resources were taken or stolen. The wealthiest OWE the rest of us everything.
Envy and jealousy---he is the epitome of both when money and success are the issue, and never fails to make it a point to proclaim as such.

The forces that would STEAL the livelihoods and retirement security of the masses were trounced in November.
It's a fundamental flaw in top 2% crime--the peasants can stop it at the ballot box.

Maybe the reason I make more money than you Fred is not because of the top 2% crime, but because I work harder, am significantly smarter and take risks you cannot understand.
Life isn't fair, is it Fred?

Bill, I have no problems with small business owners.
It's corporate oligarch CEOs that I rail against.
I know in your mind you and them are exactly the same, but you are not.

progressive taxation is good for a multitude of reasons
one being the income gap which has ironically been expanding since 1980

But isn't progressive taxation discriminatory and a form of unequal treatment?
I thought you liberals were against discrimination and unequal treatment?

I think we should means test pricing on Insider memberships.
Two truisms that the partisans can only admit to one each
Wealthy need to pay more taxes for a few years
Less wealthy need to get by with less government help for many more years.
Without both we'll be doing wash, rinse, repeat into insolvency.

Nixon, the famous commie, had higher tax rates than now, so did Ike, so did Hoover...
