Despite 40 from Bryant, Lakers fall to Corey Brewer (27 points) and the Nuggets.
DENVER -- Kobe Bryant went on another scoring tear for the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, it wasn't enough.
Corey Brewer matched his career high with 27 points and the Denver Nuggets overcame a 40-point effort by Bryant to beat the Lakers 126-114 on Wednesday night for their seventh straight win at home.
"He's Kobe Bryant, so he made some tough shots, but other guys didn't get involved, so we were able to get a win," Brewer said.
Brewer hit four of his six 3-pointers in the final 12-plus minutes, helping the Nuggets hold off the Lakers, whose five-game winning streak was snapped.

Five guys, one ball. More than one player needed to win. Pretty much says it all.

Dwightmare is tossed in the 2nd half, then proceeds to continue tossing his teammate(Nash) and coach under the bus postgame..........
I'm no pro, Dwightmare, but maybe remaining on the floor is a prerequisite for having an effective game......
stay tuned for "Coachkiller 2, the Massacre continues..."

I'm moving to LA but will opt to root for the Clippers, not the Lakers. Besides, I wouldn't want Dwight Howard to think I'm stalking him.

Nice for Corey.
And who is this Kobe guy? I follow college hoops and have a vague recollection of recruitment of someone by that name, but no recollection of his collegiate career.

I have two close friends who are Magic season ticket holders for years. Neither misses Dwightmare.

I'm a big Nuggets fan and I must say Corey looks so much better than he did last year. Great to see.
