Consistency is a huge problem with him.
btw this team really misses Kenny Boynton right now

He needs to be taking out of the starting lineup in my opinion.

I pretty certain that both teams were sub 100 and JU may have been sub 200.
KSU will be a tourney team and Arizona will probably be a 4 seed.
We have to avoid losses to the bottom feeders in the league. That will hurt our seeding more than anything.

Often the pick and roll sets Patric up down low with a smaller defender on him. The guards are not following through with the plays and having patience to let Patric establish position.

We really missed Murphy's production tonight as well. Boynton shot better tonight than the last two games, but he's still not shooting the three well. If those two produce, then Rosario is not inclined to shoot as much.

just as a point of reference - use the pomeroy (and sagarin) data w/ advisement:
ken pomeroy rated us #1: #4 offense, #3 defense while ksu was down in the pack:
52 Kansas St B12 8-2 0.8119 105.0 77 91.1 39
77th in offense - looked good tonight
39th in defense, shut us down alot of the time.

overly high expectations with no evidence to support it...they're good. But have to be able to play away and have to get smarter. We have a decent amount of time to get better. Most of it is changeable. The talent IS there though. The weird thing is we bring out the best in other teams. If we could reverse that, that would be very cool.

The offense worked how it was designed to tonight. The problem was the scoring from the PG, SG, and SF positions. Way to inconsistent and until the end of the game almost no one scored driving to the basket. Probably should have gone to Patric a lot earlier in the first half.

Please, go on. They got back in the game right away by going inside. Then he didn't really get a touch on the block again until we were down 10 with four minutes left. I know he had foul trouble and sat out some, but when he was in the game, he needed the ball every time down the court.
Clear out a side of the court and feed him the ball, it's not rocket science. He was getting any shot he wanted on their big guys, make KSU adjust and that will open up shooters.
I'm not saying ALL of the blame goes on Billy, but he deserves some of it.

'We bring out the best in other teams.' SO F... WHAT.
That should be expected in every game. If UF cant win a road game against a quality opponet let alone a top 10 team, they wont make it to 16 in the tourney.

It depends on your bracket. We got a major break not having to face Missouri and got Norfolk State instead. Marquette was a good test, but certainly a team with similar talent. Also, you don't play true road games in the NCAA tourney unless you're a 16 seed.
We'll have a chance to win some road games in the league this season and I expect some of them to be good tests and opportunities to see progress.

Could ESPN please hire announcers that know Florida from Florida State? How insulting in the 1st half to hear us referred to as Florida State.

Watched late last night on DVR, one of those Christmas break flubs of a game we seem to have every year. For those asking why we didn't go to Young more in the second half - well he picked up his third foul early and spent a long time on the bench, hard to go to him when he is sitting.
most telling was Rosario and KB sitting for a lot of the last ten mins while Billy used a lot of Walker, Frazier and Grahm, - another game where Billy was more interested in sending a message than winning - like when he kept pressing @ OSU last year despite the fact that they were killing it -
finally - we need the Murphy from the Wisconsin game, the KB from last year, the Rosario from the AZ game and actually, the Young from last night if we are going to meet our goals this year
