Wow! that's awesome...I can't think of a harder-working player that deserves that stat line.

Baller. Heard them say on NBA coast to coast that Joakim is early season front runner for defensive player of the year.
We have the best bigs in the NBA by far. D Lee I saw the other day has 7 straight 20-10 games, all on the road.
Big AL is doing his thing.

Jo usually does what is needed, mostly what nobody else is doing on a given night. Not only is he one of the best defensive players, he's the best passing big man in the league. Very important with Rose out. Let's see how Jo's role changes when Rose comes back.

Bill Simmons called Jo his most hated Celtics opponent. Id say that's a pretty big compliment. He is really killing it this year.

This is great. Hopefully we add 2 more bigs to the NBA with Young, and Murphy.
I do think Murphy is a better all around player than Bonner who has done well.

It's too bad Rose got hurt. If he were playing the Bulls would be winning big time. The Celtics are over the hill and will probably be totally restructured next year.

He definitely deserves to be an all star this year, the only think that might hold him back is the removal of true center from the ballot.
The only thing I wonder about if Rose were playing is what Jo's stats would look like. Rose obviously makes that team better and I'm not saying he's a ball hog, but his usage rate would definitely take away some of Jo's numbers. I know Jo doesnt care about his numbers. I do think this time without him in a line up is a good thing as a I think Jo has been much more assertive, it will be interesting to see the chemistry when he comes back.

The triple-double must have been especially sweet for Jo as it came against KG.
Jo's December numbers are amazing: 14 points, 12 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.2 blocks, 1.4 steals. He led the team in 4 out of 5 of those categories. He also made 86% of his FTs.

There is also this. Good on Jo.

Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah said he no longer will do his six-shooter celebration with his fingers out of respect for the victims who lost their lives in Newtown, Conn., on Friday.
"You can't joke around with things like that. Too many people are dying because of guns. We have a problem here with guns, so (I'm) just trying to be a little bit compassionate about what's going on. You can't joke around -- it's not a laughing matter anymore."

He calls himself a "point center" as he like to dish out assists.
